Ruppert, Peter Stephen passed away at Vulcan, Alberta February 12, 2010 at the age of 89 years.
Pete was born March 10, 1920 at Graystones, Alberta to Frank and Margaret Ruppert. He met Anna Chase and they were married on November 1, 1942. Pete proudly served his country with the 65th Tank Transport Division in World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945. He worked in Special Areas and was assigned to work in Lomond in 1949. Harry was born on the homestead March 2, 1913 at Faith, Alberta to William and Minnie Peters the youngest of three boys. The family resided there until 1927 when they left the homestead to farm at Vulcan. Harry met Dorothy Rodgers at a dance and they were married on November 14, 1940 at Stavely. Harry and Dorothy moved to the family farm on Thigh Hill east of Vulcan and began their farming life together. Rupp, Gloria Hazel, beloved wife of the late Alfred, passed away January 25, 2010 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 84 years.
Gloria was born October 21, 1925 in Medicine Hat, AB and moved with her family to Champion when she was four years old. She attended school in Champion and then worked there as a telephone operator. In 1948 Gloria married Alfred and they moved to the family farm where they raised their three boys Jim, Dale and Gord. Daniells, Bruce Karl passed away January 19, 2010 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 81 years.
Bruce was born March 20, 1928 in the Township of Maryborough near Kitchener, Ontario to Maurice and Lydia Daniells. He was one of nine children. As a young man, Bruce worked for a meat market and a shirt and shoe factory. His first love was and always remained, horses. Hall, Joyce Elaine affectionately known as “Bonk” passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary January 17, 2010 after complications following surgery at the age of 70 years.
Elaine was the eldest daughter of Harold and Clara Bride, born at Vulcan on June 16, 1939. She attended school at Vulcan until the family moved to the Brant/Ensign area where she attended Brant school. After finishing school Elaine started working for the CIBC Bank. She married Richard “Dick” Hall of the Blackie district on March 16, 1957. They moved onto Elaine’s parents farm and farmed with her parents.

Phillips, Lloyd, beloved husband of the late Dorothy, passed away January 6, 2010 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 92 years.
Lloyd was born and raised on a farm east of Cayley, Alberta on January 1, 1918. The family moved to Valley, Washington in 1929 where Lloyd attended and graduated from High School . The family later returned to the farm at Cayley. Lloyd married Dorothy Ransom in 1948.
He was beloved by all his family and all made numerous visits to see him.

Granlin, Lea Marie, beloved wife of the late Elwood Granlin, passed away January 3, 2010 at Vulcan, Alberta at the age of 90 years.
Marie Granlin was born August 11, 1919 at Champion, Alberta to Harold and Ada Matlock. She attended school in Champion and Normal School in Calgary. Marie taught for two years at Sanderson School and five years at Carmangay School. She moved to Calgary to work as a secretary and then moved to Seattle, Washington. Marie had known Elwood Granlin as a child for they were neighbors. They met again in Seattle and
