BALDWIN,Lenora Katherine – 1918-2010

Baldwin, Lenora Katherine passed away peacefully at Vulcan Community Health Centre March 5, 2010 at the age of 92 years.

Loving mother of a daughter Marilyn (Grant) Wolfe of Champion and a son David (Sharon) of Red Deer, four grandchildren Katy (Tyler) Junck, Sheldon (Evangeline) Wolfe, Chelsea (Shaun) Richer and Evan Baldwin (Terri Anderson), three great grandchildren, a brother Ken Rubie, numerous nieces and nephews.

Lenora was predeceased by her husband Lee in 1979, an infant son, three brothers Frank, Les and Herb Rubie, a sister Evelyn and her parents.

Lenora was born February 23, 1918 at Calgary, Alberta. She grew up in Nobleford, took music lessons at home and continued her education and graduated as a Registered Nurse. Lenora never drove a car and enjoyed walking everywhere.

Lenora was actively involved with Brownies, Girl Guides, Drama Club and even sang for a short time in the Lethbridge Symphony Choir. She enjoyed reading fiction novels, loved music and enjoyed playing the organ, piano and accordion. Lenora taught piano lessons for thirty years in Carmangay and Champion.

Lenora was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Carmangay Library Board, United and Anglican Churches where she played the organ for many years, Home and School Association, Agricultural Society and Carmangay Seniors Drop in.

Celebration of Life was held Thursday March 11, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Champion Congregational Church with Pastors David Skinner and Amber Jordan officiating.

    Dearest Marilyn
    I loved that dear lady a lot. She was always gracious and wise. I will always thank God for her contribution to Rebecca,s need to be a musician. You are so blessed to have had her. Mary (Johnson) Fulton-Schroeder
