Albert “Lee” Roy Somerville was born November 29,1942 in Vulcan, Alberta to Bert & Simone Somerville. He lived, went to school and worked in Vulcan throughout his life. After school he worked at the Alberta Treasury Branch for a few years before a short stint farming. In 1967 he married the love of his life Beth and started their own trucking company. Albert Edgar Vanner of Vulcan, passed away following a brief illness, at Vulcan Extendicare on December 6, 2023 at the age of 96 years.
Albert worked in the trades in his early years before becoming a farmer west of Innisfail. During the past 25 years, he bought homes in Torrington, Lomond and Champion. He renovated his homes and always planted a garden. He enjoyed the outdoors but could also bake a great pie!

The family of John MacDougall of Champion, are saddened to announce his passing at the Lethbridge Chinook Regional Hospital on December 5th, 2023 at the age of 98.5 years.

The family of David Dietrich of Lomond, are saddened to announce his sudden passing as a result of a motor vehicle accident, on November 20, 2023 at the age of 63 years.
David was born August 23, 1960 at Lethbridge, AB, 7th child of Lloyd and Eileen Dietrich. He started his schooling in Lomond but moved to Lethbridge after his dad had a stroke and finished High School independently in Calgary.

Joyce was born in Castor, Alberta on January 29, 1936, to parents Elizabeth Vera (Macomber), and Henry Alvin Cooper. Her family moved to Red Deer in 1943. The final family home was a house on Michener Hill in Red Deer, where she lived while going to High School, before she was married.
