Pauline Christina Mueller of Vulcan, Alberta was called home to her Lord and Saviour March 5, 2005 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 84 years.
Pauline was born March 14, 1920 to Frederick and Caroline Sailer and grew up on the family farm near Carbon, Alberta where she attended school. On June 21, 1947 Pauline married Emery Mueller, a farmer from Champion, and together they raised their children eight miles west of Champion, in the Alston District in Vulcan County. They farmed until retiring and moving into Vulcan in 1982.

TESKEY, Lorraine 1926 – 2005
Lorraine Teskey of Carmangay, Alberta passed away at home on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the age of 79 years.
Lorraine was born January 30, 1926 at Champion, Alberta to Ernest and Belinda Nugent. She attended school in Carmangay. Lorraine worked in Bonds Store, the telephone office in Carmangay, Little Bow Auxiliary Hospital and the Village of Carmangay. She worked for the Village for fifteen years. Lorraine retired from the Village and continued to live in Carmangay in her own home until her passing.

Annie Androsoff of Vulcan, Alberta passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at the age of 86 years.
Annie was born November 12, 1918 at Brilliant, BC to William and Vera Zaytsoff. She attended school in Brilliant until moving to Queenstown, Alberta in 1927. Annie attended Queenstown school from 11-14 years of age and then moved back to Brilliant where she finished her schooling. She returned to Alberta in 1933.

Don was born Oct 18, 1921 in the family house in Kirkcaldy to Grant and Lorena Mallory. He lived a full life in the community until his passing Jan. 6, 2005 at Vulcan Community Health Centre.
Growing up he split his time between the hamlet and the family farm near Alston. He attended school in both areas. He also went Boyne and high school in Vulcan.

Lawrence Donald “Bay” Frey of Vulcan, Alberta passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 81 years.
Lawrence was born November 7, 1923 at Coaldale, Alberta to Erwin and Elizabeth Frey. He received his education at Readymade school. In 1950 Lawrence married Betty Marie Riley. He farmed with his father until 1958. Lawrence and Betty then moved to a farmstead west of Carmangay. In 1966 the family moved to Glen Greene’s farm three miles south of Vulcan. Walker, (Alvin) Ronald “Ron”of Lomond, Alberta passed away Monday, December 20, 2004 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 69 years.
Ron was born July 23, 1935 at Champion, Alberta to Fred and Helen Walker. He attended Yetwood, Rosemead and Travers school until 1944 when the family moved to the Bill Newton farm just north of Lomond. On October 27, 1963 Ron married Delores Ruggles. Together they lived on his father’s land, raising their family, working the land and raising livestock, which was his passion. In the late 1980’s Ron started to get involved with horse racing. He

Dougherty, Betty June, of Vulcan, Alberta passed away peacefully at her home on Friday December 17, 2004 at the age of 67 years.
Betty was born on June 17, 1937 at Dawson Creek, British Columbia to John and Agnes McGinnis. She lived in the Groundbirch area in her younger years, then moved to Victoria, B.C., where she met Wayne Dougherty and on July 8, 1960 they were married . Over the years they moved from Victoria to several places, including Winnipeg, Grande Prairie and then Ponoka. While living in Ponoka Betty was co-owner of the NAPA Store for twenty seven years.

Walter Kushner, of Champion, Alberta passed away Thursday, December 2, 2004 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 80 years.
Walter was born October 2, 1924 at Yorkton Saskatchewan to Anthony and Helen Kushner. In 1941 at the age of 17 years he joined the Navy. Following his military service Walter worked as a high rigger for Ontario Hydro, had a mail route, moved to northern Manitoba where he drove a cat train. Margaret Saunderson of Champion, Alberta passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 80 years.
Margaret was born December 5, 1923 at Moston, Manchester, England to Robert and Edith (Grimes) Telford. She attended school in England. In her youth Margaret played badminton. She married George Walter Saunderson on May 17, 1941. He was a paratrooper in the British Army and was from Northern Ireland. In January, 1942, she moved to Northern Ireland to live with George’s parents on their farm near Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh.
