Lorraine Teskey of Carmangay, Alberta passed away at home on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the age of 79 years.

Lorraine was born January 30, 1926 at Champion, Alberta to Ernest and Belinda Nugent. She attended school in Carmangay. Lorraine worked in Bonds Store, the telephone office in Carmangay, Little Bow Auxiliary Hospital and the Village of Carmangay. She worked for the Village for fifteen years. Lorraine retired from the Village and continued to live in Carmangay in her own home until her passing.

Lorraine was active in the community helping out with community events. She was also involved in the Carmangay United Church restoration. Lorraine’s hobbies were sewing, knitting and gardening. Her great passion was walking her dog “Tippy”, who now has a new home. In her younger years, Lorraine liked to curl and camp.

Loving mother of a daughter Connie Vogler of Edmonton, two sons Calvin (Peggy) Teskey of St. Albert, Carson Teskey of Calgary, three grandchildren Kevan, Jason and Jaylene, a sister Pat Nugent of Vulcan, close friend and neighbor Muriel Fraser of Carmangay, her dog “Tippy” and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1997, four sisters Nora Epton, Rose (George) Morris, Ethel (Donald) Ulrich and Emily Nugent, a brother Terry (Margaret) Nugent and her parents.

Celebration of Life Service Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at the Carmangay United Church in Carmangay with Sue MacDonald D.M. officiating.

Inurnment Carmangay Cemetery.
