It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Gord on October 8, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 56 years.
He was predeceased by daughter Christy, mother Charlotte, father William “Bill”, sister Marjorie Robinson, father-in-law John Carlson, brother-in-law Richard Carlson.

Oma Louretta Causey finished her journey of life on this earth on September 30, 2008 at Vulcan Extendicare at the age of 88 years.
Louretta, only child of Champion pioneers, the late Fred and Oma Clever, was born March 4, 1920 at Vulcan Alberta. She was the grand daughter of Martin George Clever, founder of Cleverville, later renamed Champion after the town site was relocated closer to the railway. Louretta had a full, rich, happy life growing up with many friends and devoted parents. She married Dave Causey in August, 1942 and together they farmed side by side with her parents.

Annette Maureen Guenther, beloved wife of Ben, passed away suddenly at the Rockyview Hospital on September 25, 2008 at the age of 67 years.
Annette was born September 16, 1941 at Nordegg, Alberta to George and Annie Innocento. She spent her childhood at Nordegg and Rocky Mountain House. Annette moved to Calgary in 1957 where she met her loving husband Ben. Grace Edna Uhl passed away September 20, 2008 at Vulcan Extendicare at the age of 84 years.
Edna was born July 24, 1924 on the family farm in the Whitkow district northeast of North Battleford, Saskatchewan to Albert Arthur and Grace Alma Whibley. She attended Redfield School until Grade 10 then set out to explore the world. At the age of 16 Edna went to Ontario to visit relatives and ended up staying for seven years. Thomson, Joseph Milo “Joe” passed away peacefully at home September 2, 2008 at the age of 82 years.
Joe was born February 1, 1926, raised and educated in Milo, Alberta. After serving in the Canadian Navy during WWII, he returned to Milo and took over the family general store business. Carl John Steiner, beloved husband of Marcella of Nanton, passed away August 29, 2008 at Vulcan Extendicare at the age of 83 years.
Carl lived on the family farm, which celebrated its Centennial in 2002 and was active in the Vulcan Community until his retirement to Nanton in 1990. He was a member of the Vulcan Lions Club, Oddfellows and Community Band and was a Life Member of the Vulcan Golf Club. James V. “Skeez” Christensen passed away at home in Vulcan August 19, 2008 at the age of 81 years.
James, who was nicknamed Skeez after a comic strip character, was born on October 21, 1926 at Airdrie, Alberta to Bill and Effie Christensen. He attended school in Champion and received his Grade 12 education in High River. Skeez went on to attend Mount Royal College and SAIT in 1944/1945. His first job was with Massey Harris as a combine engineer working with experimental combines in Canada and the U.S.A. He obtained his pilot’s license in 1946 along with his brother Leslie.
