Frances “Fran” Isabel L’Ecuyer of Vulcan, Alberta passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 75 years.
Fran was born January 20, 1930 at Hamilton, Ontario to Frank and Peggy Firth. She spent her childhood in Kilmar, Quebec with her two sisters and one brother. Fran married Reg L’Ecuyer. She spent the biggest part of her life raising nine children.
In her spare time, Fran enjoyed painting, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing games with the family and doing cross stitch. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at the food bank and the library for many years.

Mildred Edna Lucas of Vulcan, Alberta passed away March 14, 2005 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 83 years.
Mildred was born December 8, 1921 at Clanwilliam, Manitoba to Christian and Christine Frederickson. She attended Lakelet School along with her three sisters and two brothers. Mildred married William Higson Lucas in July, 1940 and they began their life together on Bill’s farm in Armada. They ran a mixed farming operation and also a milk delivery at Armada for a while. Charlotte Nolan passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 13, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 75 years.

Pauline Christina Mueller of Vulcan, Alberta was called home to her Lord and Saviour March 5, 2005 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 84 years.
Pauline was born March 14, 1920 to Frederick and Caroline Sailer and grew up on the family farm near Carbon, Alberta where she attended school. On June 21, 1947 Pauline married Emery Mueller, a farmer from Champion, and together they raised their children eight miles west of Champion, in the Alston District in Vulcan County. They farmed until retiring and moving into Vulcan in 1982.

Lorraine Teskey of Carmangay, Alberta passed away at home on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the age of 79 years.
Lorraine was born January 30, 1926 at Champion, Alberta to Ernest and Belinda Nugent. She attended school in Carmangay. Lorraine worked in Bonds Store, the telephone office in Carmangay, Little Bow Auxiliary Hospital and the Village of Carmangay. She worked for the Village for fifteen years. Lorraine retired from the Village and continued to live in Carmangay in her own home until her passing.

Annie Androsoff of Vulcan, Alberta passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at the age of 86 years.
Annie was born November 12, 1918 at Brilliant, BC to William and Vera Zaytsoff. She attended school in Brilliant until moving to Queenstown, Alberta in 1927. Annie attended Queenstown school from 11-14 years of age and then moved back to Brilliant where she finished her schooling. She returned to Alberta in 1933.

Don was born Oct 18, 1921 in the family house in Kirkcaldy to Grant and Lorena Mallory. He lived a full life in the community until his passing Jan. 6, 2005 at Vulcan Community Health Centre.
