Jennifer, our precious daughter and Clayton’s beloved sister, passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 39.
Jennifer loved her family, children, music, and God. Her childhood was full of fun and laughter, playing with dolls, her brother and friends. From a young age, Jennifer’s love for music was evident. Her passion and personal discipline helped her become an accomplished pianist and she would eventually also learn guitar and vocals.
As a teenager, she discovered her love and gift of helping children with special needs and found a job with Pacekids. While attending U of C, she felt God calling

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Helene Henrickson, beloved wife of the late Marvin Henrickson. Helene passed away peacefully at the RockyView General Hospital in Calgary Alberta, on Sunday, October 15th, 2023.
She leaves behind: son Lorne (Connie) Henrickson; daughter Loreen Henrickson Ormon; grandchildren Stephanie (Derek) Chez, Cassidy (Ismahan) Henrickson, Ashley (Brandon) Cecchini, Chantal Ormon and Colton Ormon; as well as 7 great-grandchildren.
Helene was predeceased by her beloved husband Marvin, her parents Charles and Gertrude Lund, her sister Leona Dilse and numerous aunts and uncles.

BENETEAU, Romeo Joseph 1946 – 2023
Romeo Joseph Beneteau of Vulcan passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre October 5, 2023 at the age of 76.
Romeo was born November 12, 1946 in Windsor, Ontario. Romeo was a farmer for most of his life, alongside his brother Harvey, who loyally supported each other throughout their entire lives. They left the family farm in 1969 when Romeo was 23, and headed west. They found themselves farming in Manitoba for 14 years before making their way to Alberta in 1989. The worked in Coronation, and then in Arrowwood and Mossleigh, where they decided to start a tire recycling
O’Keefe, Larry Wayne 1940 – 2023
Larry Wayne O’Keefe (formerly of Hinton, AB) passed away in Vulcan on October 8, 2023 at the age of 83 years.
Larry lived his best life. He was a loving husband and father, grandfather and friend who enjoyed many activities and hobbies.
In his later years Larry was quite the escape artist; he escaped many a time from the Vulcan county hospital (ha ha)!
Remaining to cherish Larry’s memory is his loving wife Sharon, daughter Corinna (Mark), son Darren, two brothers John and Murray (Lara); grandchildren Carlene (Calvin), Dustin (Laura), Jorden (Lanilyn), Kaitlyn and Shae-lyn, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Gary McKinnon, of Vulcan, beloved husband of Maxine, at the Vulcan Community Hospital, October 3, 2023, at the age of 71 years.
Besides his loving wife Maxine of 49 years, Gary is lovingly remembered by his son Kevin, daughter Kristine (Kelly) Mix and grandchildren Grayson and Kailey Mix. WALKER, Harvey David 1935 – 2023
Harvey David Walker of Vulcan, beloved husband of Sandra, passed away at the Rockyview Hospital in Calgary on September 17, 2023 at the age of 87 years.
Besides his loving wife Sandra, Harvey is survived by his sons – David (Claudia) and Allen (Gladys ) Walker, 4 grandchildren, Colton, Michaela, Cassidy, & Shawn and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, step mother and all his siblings.
At Harvey’s request, a formal service will not be held at this time.

WISENER, Magdelina Agnes “Lena” 1920 – 2023
Wisener, Magdelina “Lena” of Vulcan, peacefully passed away at Vulcan Extendicare September 11, 2023 at the age of 103 years.
Lena was born at Marianthal, Saskatchewan, daughter of Michael and Katherine Ehrmantraut. Lena left the family farm near Bienfait, Saskatchewan in the early 1940’s to work in Ottawa as a clerk for the war effort, registering military men and women until 1946. That job ended and she was offered another job in Calgary to work as a data processor. She met the love of her life, George Wisener, after a Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral in 1950. They were married in
ELIAS, Jacob ‘Jake’ 1927 – 2023
Jacob ‘Jake’ Elias of Vulcan, AB, beloved husband of Mary, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on September 1, 2023 at the age of 95 years.
Jake was born September 6, 1927 at Stanley, MB, youngest son of Johann and Maria Elias. He was raised in Manitoba and has resided with his loving family in Vulcan since 1968. He was employed with Coop Implements in Manitoba and Vulcan until his retirement.
