Albert Edgar Vanner
September 13, 1927 – December 6, 2023
Albert Edgar Vanner of Vulcan, passed away following a brief illness, at Vulcan Extendicare on December 6, 2023 at the age of 96 years.
Albert worked in the trades in his early years before becoming a farmer west of Innisfail. During the past 25 years, he bought homes in Torrington, Lomond and Champion. He renovated his homes and always planted a garden. He enjoyed the outdoors but could also bake a great pie!
Albert is survived by his nephew, Doug (Fern) Vanner of Cochrane and nieces Dianne Corr of Mississauga, Sal (Pat) Ryan of Leduc, Beth Vanner of Calgary and Shirley Jones of Calgary. He also leaves behind great nieces and nephews – Stephen, Ryan, Hayley, Dylan and Bailey, as well as 7 great great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Wanda; his siblings – Florence, Elsie, Bill and Henry; his nephews Jimmy and Allan and his niece Elinor; his great nephews Christopher and Duane.
Many will remember Albert for his subtle sense of humor. Sincere thanks to the staffs of the Peter Dawson Lodge, Vulcan Community Health Centre and theVulcan Extendicare for the care and comfort they provided to Albert.
