WALTER WAS BORN DECEMBER 21, 1926 AT COALHURST, ALBERTA TO EMIL AND ELSIE GORZITZA. HE WAS RAISED ON THE FAMILY FARM TWO MILES NORTH WEST OF KIPP. WALTER ATTENDED SCHOOL AT FORT KIPP, ROLLING HILLS AND NOBLEFORD SCHOOL.WALTER MET LAURA RIEHL IN 1936 AND THEY ATTENDED SCHOOL TOGETHER. WALTER HELPED OUT BY DRIVING TRUCK AND DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR HE DELIVERED GERMAN PRISONERS TO FARMS IN THE AREA TO WORK THE SUGAR BEETS. HE ALSO WORKED IN LETHBRIDGE FOR
MATLOCK, Hannah Josephine “Jo” 1920 – 2000
HANNAH JOSEPHINE “JO” MATLOCK WAS CALLED HOME TO HER LORD AND SAVIOUR DECEMBER 10, 2000 AT THE VULCAN COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE AT 80 YEARS OF AGE.
JO WAS BORN AT SUFFIELD, ALBERTA TO ROY AND VIOLET CLARKSON. SHE CAME TO VULCAN AT AGE OF FOUR YEARS. SHE ATTENDED VULCAN SCHOOL AND IN GRADE NINE, SHE MET HARRIS MATLOCK AND TOGETHER THEY FINISHED HIGH SCHOOL AND WERE MARRIED IN OCTOBER OF 1941. THEY BOUGHT A FARM WITH HARRIS’S VETERAN’S AFFAIRS AGREEMENT. ERECTED A BUILDING ON THE FARM AND CALLED IT “THE COTTAGE”, WHERE THEY SPENT THE SPRING, SUMMER AND PART OF THE

JOSEPH NIL IVAN GERARD “GERRY” BOISVERT OF VULCAN PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY FOLLOWING A LENGTHY BATTLE WITH CANCER AND HEART DISEASE ON DECEMBER 8, 2000 AT THE AGE OF 72 YEARS.
GERRY WAS BORN JULY 14, 1928 AT MARENGO, SASKATCHEWAN TO WILLIE AND ALMA BOISVERT. HE ATTENDED SCHOOL AT MARENGO UNTIL GRADE EIGHT WHEN HE STARTED WORKING ON THE FAMILY FARM, THEN OTHER FARMS IN THE AREA, HE DROVE FUEL TRUCK. GERRY MARRIED MYREL HARLEY IN 1950 AT MARENGO, SASKATCHEWAN. IN 1952 THEY MOVED TO ST. PAUL WHERE HE WAS EMPLOYED WITH CANADIAN UTILITIES UNTIL HE WAS INJURED. HE THEN WENT TO WORK

SHE BEGAN WORKING IN THE AREA FOR A FAMILY UNTIL SHE MARRIED JOHN STEPHEN NOEL COWGILL, SON OF VICAR HARRY COWGILL OF SHIREOAKS, NOTTS, ENGLAND ON THE 30TH OF MAY 1939 AT THE VULCAN ANGLICAN CHURCH. GUSTAVE THEODORE “GUS” STULBERG, BELOVED HUSBAND OF THE LATE VI STULBERG OF VULCAN, ALBERTA PASSED AWAY NOVEMBER 28 AT VULCAN COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE AT THE AGE OF 77 YEARS.
GUS WAS BORN AUGUST 5, 1923 AT MAZENOD, SASKATCHEWAN TO HENRY AND ALVINA STULBERG. HE ATTENDED CRAIK, AND LATER AT THE AGE OF 17 YEARS DAVIDSON SCHOOL. HE GRADUATED IN 1941 AND JOINED THE ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE WHERE HE SERVED AS A WIRELESS AIR GUNNER UNTIL 1946. ROBERT ATTENDED SCHOOL NEAR STERLING AND BEGAN WORKING AT A LOCAL BUTCHER SHOP, WHERE HE HELPED TO PREPARE MEATS AND DELIVERED IT TO CUSTOMERS. ARTY WAS BORN OCTOBER 19, 1931 AT ARROWWOOD THE ONLY SON OF NELS AND CLARA NELSON. HE RECEIVED ALL HIS SCHOOLING AT QUEENSTOWN. THERE WERE NO BUSES SO HE RODE HIS HORSE OR BUGGY WITH HIS SISTERS TO ATTEND SCHOOL. HE STARTED WORKING THE FIELD AT AGE ELEVEN DRIVING SIX HORSES ON A ROD WEEDER AND LATER HAULED GRAIN TO QUEENSTOWN WITH A GRAIN TANK AND HORSES. WHEN HE FINISHED SCHOOL ARTY STAYED

DONNA WAS BORN MARCH 24, 1935 AT LOON LAKE, SASKATCHEWAN THE ELDEST OF THE LARGE FAMILY OF ORVILLE AND ALICE DITTO. DONNA BEGAN HER EDUCATION IN SASKATCHEWAN, AS A TEENAGER SHE CAME TO THE REID HILL DISTRICT TO WORK AND FINISH HER SCHOOLING. SHE LOVED THE PEOPLE, LANDSCAPE AND THE LIFESTYLE IN RURAL VULCAN. HE FARMED WITH HIS FATHER AND WHILE WORKING WITH HIM HE PURCHASED A SECTION OF LAND OF HIS OWN. FERD OFTEN WENT TO CALGARY FOR CHURCH EVENTS.
