Eveline was born December 28, 1925 at Calgary, Alberta to Margaret and Raymond Peterson. She attended school at Milo and Okotoks. Eveline took her nursing training at the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary and achieved the highest standing in theory in her class. She married Orville Speer in 1948 and they had four children. Tharle Bjornson, Clara passed away July 27, 2010 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 93 years.
Clara was born January 8, 1917 at Lethbridge, Alberta to Roy and Jessie Gold. When she was seven, the family moved to Vulcan. Clara attended school at Vulcan and went on to Calgary to attend Normal School. She taught for one year at Sunset Valley School. Don was born at Champion, Alberta on March 10, 1931 to Clifford and Elizabeth Marshman. He was raised on the family farm one mile east of Vulcan. Don loved farming and took over the family farm. Nugent, Kathleen Patricia “Pat” passed away July 8, 2009 at Little Bow Continuing Care Centre at Carmangay at the age of 95 years.
Pat was born at Fernie, BC on May 9, 1914 to Ernest and Belinda Nugent. The family moved to Alberta in 1915 and settled in the Barons then Carmangay area. Pat attended Circle, Yale and Carmangay schools. Her dream was to become a teacher and she worked at various jobs to earn the money to attain this goal. Lewis, Stanley Oliver “Stan” passed away September 13, 2009 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 62 years.
Stan was born July 11, 1947 at Vulcan, Alberta to Milton and Joan Lewis. He attended Travers and Vulcan schools. Stan worked at numerous jobs such as painting, doing milk deliveries, for different farmers around the Vulcan area, Vulcan Seed Cleaning Plant, CP Rail as track maintainer and the Village of Milo. He married Carmel Wright on January 15, 1971. Stan was diagnosed with kidney disease in 1991 and started dialysis in April, 2000.

Schierman, Ruby Ella, beloved wife of the late David Schierman, entered Heavens Glory July 1, 2009 at Vulcan Extendicare at the age of 86 years.
Ruby was born on August 17, 1922 at Bruce, Alberta to Michael and Pauline Grinde. She attended West Bruce School then went onto Edmonton Normal School to become a teacher. Because of the shortage of teachers during the war, Ruby taught from January to April at a school near Barrhead. She then returned to Edmonton to finish her training.
