Smith-Reath, Evelyn Elizabeth was taken home to her Lord and Savior. November 9, 2009 at Vulcan, Alberta at the age of 85 years.
Evelyn was born June 28, 1924 on the family farm in the Alston area south of Vulcan to George and Marion Reath. She attended Alston School and Calgary Normal School. Evelyn returned to the area to teach for a number of years, then was fully involved in the farming business. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ where she lead the choir on many occasions. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends and directing the church choir.
Evelyn is survived by sister Mable (Darrel) Maisey, brother Jim (Jean) Reath, brother-n-law Al Psikla, numerous nieces including Suzanne Maisey and Karen Ruggles, and numerous nephews including Murray (Sherry) Maisey.
Besides her husband of 27 years Douglas B. Smith, Evelyn is also predeceased by her sister Marjory Psikla.
Funeral Service Friday November 13, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Vulcan Church Of Christ with Rev. Doug Barrie Officiating.
Interment Vulcan Cemetery.
