Edna Mae Palmer, formerly of Vulcan, passed away February 28, 2013 at the Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane, at the age of 85 years.

Edna was born in Vulcan, Alberta to Ted and Selma Campbell. Edna’s great loves were her family, horses, dogs and cats. She enjoyed riding her horse well into her 70’s. She was a wonderful, determined, kind, loving person and we will miss her great sense of humorEdna.

Edna is survived by 5 daughters and 1 son, Carol Reid (Roy Simpson), Sandra Burley (Fred), Kathy Patterson, Pat Palmer-Wright (Vince), Wade Palmer and Wendy Yoxall (Terry), 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by sisters Virginia Jacobson, Louise Sheldrake (Bob), Lorraine Beard, numerous nephews and nieces and special friends Dianne and Ralph Thompson. She was predeceased by her husband John, son-in-law Gordon, and sisters Viola Campbell, Vivian Booth and Jean Bittorf.

Celebration of Life service Monday, March 11, 2013 at 1:30 pm at the Vulcan United Church (201 – 2 Ave. S.) with Sue MacDonald, D.M. officiating.

Inurnment Vulcan Cemetery.
