Hartung, Helanda, of Vulcan, passed away unexpectedly at the Vulcan Hospital on September 18th, just one week after her 84th birthday.
She was born in Weyburn, SK, the 10th child of Herman & Huldine Deimert and eventually one of 13 siblings. Lorraine was born in the Arrowwood Hospital on February 3, 1929 to John Robert and Annie Goldthorpe, who were English homesteaders in the Eastway district. Lorraine was the youngest of six children and attended Eastway and Buffalo Schools. They milked 14 cows before heading to school by horseback.
