In loving memory, Janus Delmar Norton passed away May 7, 2025, at High River Hospital, at the age of 93 years. Janus was Born February 1, 1932, to parents Mervin and Effie. He married Laqueeda Versluys on August 24th, 1957 and was predeceased by her on April 27th, 2010. He is survived by his sons Byron, Murray (Carla), and Kent, his Grandchildren Tara, Tyrel, and Winona, alongside 7 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother Dwane (Danny) and sister Rose Hodges (Brian). In his teens Janus was an F.U.A. Junior, and would later attend Olds College of Agriculture. He was a member of the Arrowwood Lions Club, holding a 50-year badge, and was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Gleichen. He farmed cattle and grain all his life at Shouldice and Arrowwood, sang in the United Church choir, and loved watching Curling.
A graveside service was held at Arrowwood cemetery. A memorial service will be held on May 29th,1 pm at the Arrowwood Hall, Arrowwood, Alberta.
