Gallagher, George passed away at Lethbridge, Alberta on February 22, 2007 at the age of 83 years.

Beloved husband of Wanda of Lethbridge and father of two sons Terry and Cam (Sheila),  two grandsons Josh and Justin.

George was born October 5, 1923 at Tramping Lakes, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1942 at Edmonton, for a time he served in action as a member of the Special Services Force “Red Devils” brigade, as well as many other regiments. He returned home in 1946.

George married Janet Croucher in 1946 and they lived in Calgary where they raised their family.  He worked as a postal supervisor for Canada Post until retiring after 31 years of service. He then was a Calgary Police Commissionaire and as a volunteer he was very active with the Royal Canadian Legion.

George loved to dance, play harmonica with the Bow Cliff Harmonicas, he loved people and had a great sense of humor. Janet passed away in 2001. George met Wanda in 2004 they moved to Lethbridge and were married in 2005 together they traveled and enjoyed time together, 2006 he moved into Extendicare were he has resided since.

Graveside service Thursday March 1, 2007 at 1 pm at Queens Park Cemetery, Field of Honor a time of fellowship at 3 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 264, 1910 Kensington Rd. NW Calgary.
