Fitzpatrick, Robert “Bob” John, beloved husband of Kay, passed away peacefully August 20, 2009 at the Vulcan Hospital at the age of 73 years.
Bob was born at Calgary on February 6, 1936.. He was the chosen son of Ed and Minnie Fitzpatrick of Queenstown, Alberta. Bob attended school in Queenstown, worked along side his father on the family farm and took on other jobs such as custom combining. He married Diane Holm and raised four children, Milton, Sherry, Charlotte and Wesley. Later in life Bob and Kay Zaystoff met and after 23 years celebrated their love with a wedding July 31, 2009 in Vulcan. He continued farming until his health failed in late 2008.
The love of his life was farming. Bob also loved visiting with family and friends and enjoyed many travels in his lifetime with his many friends in the Queenstown and Milo communities. Best of all were the auction sales that Kay did not know about.
Bob is survived by his loving family, wife Kay, children Milton (Tammy), Sherry (Don) Penner, Charlotte (Bob) Fisher, Wes, Christy, Karen, Donnie, 13 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Ed and Minnie, granddaughter Denika, daughter-in-law Starr, sister Verna and brother-in-law Pete.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday August 29, 2009 at the Community Hall in Milo, Alberta.
