Striker, Clinton Gene “Clint”. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his sudden passing January 9th 2011, due to a tragic auto accident near his home in Milo, Alberta at the age of 38 years.
He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 13 years Jennifer, their sons Cody and Calvin; his parents Stanley and Jean Striker; two brothers Darcy (Marina) Guy (Cathy); 3 sisters Tuesday ( John) Edmonson, Kelly Henry, Stacy (Roy) Vander Wyk; his grandmother Vera Striker along with numerous other extended family and friends.

Schierman, Ruby Ella, beloved wife of the late David Schierman, entered Heavens Glory July 1, 2009 at Vulcan Extendicare at the age of 86 years.
Ruby was born on August 17, 1922 at  Bruce, Alberta to Michael and Pauline Grinde.  She attended West Bruce School then went onto Edmonton Normal School to become a teacher.  Because of the shortage of teachers during the war, Ruby taught from January to April at a school near Barrhead.  She then returned to Edmonton to finish her training.  Ruby taught for three years at Bruce, Alberta and in 1946 moved to southern Alberta to teach

Campbell, Norien Grace passed away June 25, 2009  at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 70 years.
Norien was born on September 6, 1938 at Queenstown to Nels and Clara Nelson.  She attended Queenstown and Milo schools.  Norien went onto Henderson’s College of Business and worked in Calgary for a while.  She married John Campbell on June 3, 1966 and had a son Jeff on July 12, 1967.  Norien enjoyed children, gardening, baking and spending time with family
Norien  is survived by her husband John, son Jeff, two sisters Lorna Francis and Carol (Bill) Steiner, mother Clara Nelson, Lawrence (Jean)

The family of Jack Deans have lost a wonderful man.  Jack passed away at Vulcan Community Health Centre on June 9, 2009 at the age of 81 years.  John Wesley Deans was born in Vulcan on August 20, 1927 to John Henry and Ruth Alice Deans.
Jack is survived by Joyce, his loving wife of 60 years, his children Jacquie (Jim), Jerry-Lynn (John), James (Dawn), Joel (Cyndi) and their families, his sister Ruth Alice Deans, brother Robert Louis Deans, an extended family and a large circle of friends who loved his dearly.

Oberholtzer, Ralph Hubert died May 27, 2009 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 79 years.
Ralph was born December 17, 1929 at Calgary, Alberta to Fred and Alberta Oberholtzer.  He attended school at Arrowwood.  In conjunction with high school, Ralph had a small dairy with a milk delivery route in Arrowwood.  After graduation from high school, he attended Agriculture College at Vermillion.  Ralph worked in Calgary for a short time then returned to Arrowwood to farm.  He married Irene Bertschy at Arrowwood in 1952.  They had a dairy and raised pigs on the farm but later sold the

Louis Edward Shaw passed away May 27, 2009 at his home in Edmonton at the age of 85 years.
Louis was born on October 22, 1923 at Vulcan, youngest son of Frank and Marion Shaw.  Louis grew up on the family homestead three miles west of Vulcan.  He attended the Harvey School and later the Vulcan School.  In 1943, Louis joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, became a trained navigator and reached London on VE Day.  In 1946 he married Margaret G. Gerding and they set up their home one mile east of his parents farm and began farming.  Louis worked

Thiessen, Elizabeth “Betty”, beloved wife of Jacob, passed away peacefully May 23, 2009 at Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 91 years.
Betty was born August 23, 1917 at Hague, Saskatchewan to Frank and Elizabeth Dyck.
Loving mother of two daughters Marjorie Thiessen (Karl Pasowesty), Hannah (Jim) Dann, four sons Henry (Joan) Thiessen, John (Maureen) Thiessen, Peter (Linda) Thiessen, Roy (Gail) Thiessen, eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great grandchild, eight brothers Cornie (Mary) Dyck, Henry (Susie) Dyck, John Dyck, Frank Dyck, Peter (Margaret) Dyck, Claus (Elizabeth) Dyck, Abe (Mary) Dyck, George Dyck, sister Mary Bickert and numerous nieces and nephews.
