Branden, Richard Wayne, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Deb, passed away suddenly at home on July 9, 2020 at the age of 59 years.
Born Sept. 14 1960 in Ottawa, Ontario, Richard traveled with his parents until landing in the Lomond area where the family farmed for many years. He then made his way to Vulcan where he started work with the CP Railway. He met and married Deb and they moved to Lethbridge to raise 2 beautiful children, Lukis & Jazmin.
Richard was very, very passionate about not only the railway, but perfecting the railway. He was so proud of his career and his workplace – 35 years of memories with amazing men, many who became life long friends.
Richard spent many hours with Beau, his four-legged best friend and loyal companion and many cherished moments with his granddaughter Izabel and family gatherings weekly. He will be truly missed by all.
Richard is survived by his wife Deb (Lerohl), son Lukis, daughter Jazmin (Jordan) Branden-Lemay, granddaughter Izabel, brother Dan Branden, sister Lori Branden, Beau (his loyal companion and best friend), nieces and nephews – Trumanda, Skylar, Ryker, Cheyanne & Cody and a host of extended family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents Leroy & Ann Branden
Family Graveside Service will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Vulcan Cemetery.
Any tributes in Richard’s memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, #220,6223-2nd Street SE, Calgary, Alberta T2H 1J5.
