PHILLIPS, Lloyd William 1918 – 2010

Phillips, Lloyd, beloved husband of the late Dorothy, passed away January 6, 2010 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 92 years.

Lloyd was born and raised on a farm east of Cayley, Alberta on January 1, 1918. The family moved to Valley, Washington in 1929 where Lloyd attended and graduated from High School . The family later returned to the farm at Cayley. Lloyd married Dorothy Ransom in 1948.

He was beloved by all his family and all made numerous visits to see him.

Beloved father of four children Gary (Sherlane) Phillips, Linda (Gerard) Gottselig, Don (Elizabeth) Ransom, Carol (Keith) Harris, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, brother Gordon Phillips, several brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lloyd was predeceased by his wife Dorothy in 2003 and his parents.

Memorial Service Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Vulcan United Church with Sue MacDonald DM officiating

Inurnment at a later date in Champion Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, tributes in Lloyd’s memory can be made to the Champion Fire Department, box 180, Champion T0L 0R0.
