We met Bill 39 years ago on our first motorcycle trip across Canada at a garage where our bike decided it had gone far enough. Bill called his wife, Jan and said he was bringing a couple of kids home. We have been close and have stayed in contact since then. We have conversed often over the phone and Bill made regular calls to us in NB to see how we were doing and what our weather was like, and of course any new jokes he had acquired. Every trip we have made since then on our bike includes a visit to Bill and Ronald (his son), and they even came down to visit us as well. Just this pass summer we made another motorcycle trip and we are very happy to have gotten to see him one more time. We will definitely miss him.
