Darrell Fath of Lake MacGregor County Estates, passed away after a long battle with cancer at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on March 1st, 2017 at the age of 57 years.
Darrell was born on August 20th, 1959 to Phillip and Catherine (Kaye) Fath. He met his wife Sherri Morrison and they had two sons; Carey and Daniel Fath, and were married for 33 years. During this time in their lives, they lived in many different locations, but they were all called home. Darrell and Sherri retired to Lake MacGregor Estates.
Darrell had a strong work ethic. He spent 25 years working for the company, Rife Resources. He started off as an accountant, but he moved up the ladder and he completed his career as a Human Resources Manager.
Darrell was very passionate about music, Arts, and seeing all kinds of new places. He loved his vehicles, his big and small toys. He enjoyed watching and playing football. One of the things he collected was anything related to football or baseball. Darrell may have complained behind closed doors, but he loved and cherished all his pets. He also loved to watch movies and play card games. He loved all kinds of food and he inherited his Dads love for chocolate! He would often partake in desserts which was, but not limited to pies, cinnamon buns or ice cream topped with chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, and M&M’s… let’s just say not many people didn’t know he had a stash of goodies somewhere.
Darrell is survived by his wife Sherri, sons Carey and Daniel, his siblings; Glenn (Connie), Allan (Leslie), Linda (Pat) and Gaye (Roy). And numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Philip and Kaye Fath and mother-in-law Jean Morrison.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Wednesday, March 8th, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Champion, AB, Father Tim Boyle Officiating. Interment Champion Cemetery.
