John Milton Wilson, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Wilson, passed away   peacefully on July 12, 2007 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 91 years.

John was born April 13, 1916 at Crealman, Saskatchewan to Milton and Eva Wilson.  He moved with his family to Invermay, east of Saskatoon, then to Okla, Saskatchewan in 1919 where he received his education.  John moved to Wadena in 1939 and farmed for twenty years, then began working in Winnipeg where he earned his mechanics license.  John worked at Broadview as a mechanic until moving to Champion in 1947.  While in Champion he worked for the Alder Brothers first in the Massey Harris dealership and then in 1952 on the farm working with Ken, Keith and Wayne Alder until his retirement in 2003.  John enjoyed his work and it gave him great satisfaction.

John is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

John was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (nee Dingwall) Wilson in 2002, his parents Milton and Eva, two brothers Bern and Leonard, four sisters Ella Morrow, Mabel Marshall, Alice Cook and Emely Tilbert.

Funeral service Monday, July 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vulcan Cultural Recreation Centre with Willis Propp officiating.

Casket bearers Wayne Alder, Neil Olsen, Kelly Cook, Wendell Miles, Grant Miles and Jonathan Toes.

Internment Vulcan Cemetery.
