Elizabeth Anna Wilson, (nee: Dingwall) passed away suddenly Sunday November 17, 2002 at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital at the age of 93 years.
Elizabeth was born April 10, 1909 at Vulcan, Alberta to Robert and Tressia Dingwall. She attended Richmond Hill School and Henderson’s College for one year. Elizabeth worked at the High River Hospital for many years. She worked in the laundry department first and then as a cook. On November 12, 1970 she married John Wilson and moved to the farm at Champion. Elizabeth loved to entertain. Her family and friends will always remember her wonderful tea parties with all of her beautiful teacups, dishes and baking. John and Elizabeth resided on the farm at Champion until recently when they moved to the Peter Dawson Lodge in Vulcan.
Survived by her loving husband John of Champion, her sister Grace Dingwall of Banff, a sister-in-law Mary Dingwall of Calgary, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Elizabeth was predeceased by four brothers Gordon, Louis, Roy and George, her sister Rea Dingwall, her niece Sharon Dingwall and her parents.
Funeral Service Thursday November 21, 2002 at 1:30 P.M. at the Cultural Recreational Centre, Vulcan with Mr. Willis Propp, Miss. Marion Crawford and Mr. Derek Poitreas officiating.
Honorary Bearers were all of her friends.
Casket Bearers were Wayne Alder. Neil Olsen, Kent Alder, Jim Wilson, Randy Buehler and Trent Hummel.
Internment Vulcan Cemetery.
