Donna Will of Milo, beloved wife of Thomas, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on August 25, 2021 at the age of 84 years.
Donna Louise Will (Hagerty) was born May 2, 1937, the only child of Stan and Hazel (Foote) Hagerty of Stony Beach. She grew up on the farm Northwest of Stony Beach and attended Stony Beach School and graduated from the Convent of Zion in Moose Jaw. From 1956 to 1959 she taught school at Findlater, Star City and Avonhurst, Sk. She attended the University of Regina in 1960 and then taught at Eastview School from 1960 to 1964 when the school was closed. It was during her years at Eastview, when she boarded with Jack & Isabelle Stokes, that she became part of the Stokes family – a close relationship that continued throughout her life. Donna moved to Ottawa where she was employed by the government for 2 years, after which she returned to the west and taught school in Milo, AB for the next 9 years. .
In July 1975, Donna married Thomas Will. After building a house on the farm, they moved there in December 1976 where they still reside. Donna was an active member of the Milo Curling Club for many years. She was also involved in several community organizations such as the Library Board, Agricultural Society, Community Hall Committee and the Fall Fair, as well as the Milo Cottage Co-op.
Donna was an avid Saskatchewan Roughriders fan and would be happy to see their perfect start to the 2021 season.
Besides her loving husband of 46 years, Thomas, Donna is survived by her sisters-in-law – Agnes (Marvin) Brooks of Calgary and Sylvia (Bev) Nicholson of Brandon, MB, brothers-in-law James and Joe (Jane) Will and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She is also survived by her second family: Judy (Randy) Warken, Sintaluta, Sk.; Rick (Brenda) Stokes, Moose Jaw, Sk.; Jackie (Bob) Street, Moose Jaw, Sk.; and Colleen (Cameron) Campbell of Mortlach, Sk. and their families. She was especially close to Cam & Colleen’s four boys, Jackson (Brooke), Cody, Matthew and Shawn. She often referred to them as “Her boys” and would beam when they called her Grandma. She was always interested to hear what they were up to and she and Thomas made many trips back to Saskatchewan to attend the boy’s activities and events, including 4-H Achievement Days, Football games, Hockey games, graduations and convocations She was predeceased by her parents, sister-in-law Winona (Darkey) Atkinson and brother-in-law Wilson (Tress) Will.
Memorial Mass will take place at St. Andrew’s Catholic Parish, Vulcan, AB with Family inurnment in Vulcan Cemetery Columbarium.

So many fond memories come flooding back when we read of Donna’s passing – teaching, farming, curling, neighbors, community, fun, friends. Donna embraced her Milo Community home.
