Roman Vinogradov of Milo, passed away peacefully at home on March 21, 2021 at the age of 78 years.
Roman was born July 17, 1942 and he arrived in Montreal, QC, Canada after leaving his homeland in conflict. While in Montreal, he started a whole new life for himself and his family. His father and uncle purchased a farm in the Laval area, outside of Montreal, to begin rebuilding. After earning degrees in Language and Education he found himself in front of a camera working as a model for the fashion industry and later operated his own high-end electronics delivery company.
It was after several trips to Emergency that his son Basil stepped in to help his father fulfill his wish to not die alone with people around him that he did not know. So Baz flew back home to close out the homestead and move his father to Milo to live with him in his final days which turned into the past six months.
They had the opportunity to share his stories, laughs and deep discussions late into the night and dinner chats, all the blessings that make love sweet. Roman’s care was all encompassing and Baz and his family were able to be with Roman constantly.
After Baz had changed and showered him and tucked him into a fresh bed, Roman fell asleep and a few hours later, passed from this world on to the next with his son by his side. Roman is now free of this body. No matter how ready one is for this, one is never ready and its never enough. We loved you so much.
Roman is survived by his son Baz, his wife Melissa and their children, of Calgary and Lethbridge, a daughter Lucy Newton and her family of Calgary, and his brother Alexis in New York.
Roman will be interred in the family plot in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, and friends and family will be gathering for a committal service at a later date, with his Brother Ret. Fr. Alexis Vinogradov officiating.
Please keep Baz and his family in your prayers.

We were friends of Roman while living in Montreal . We moved to Vancouver in
the early 1989’s and and eventually lost contact with each other.
Basil looks like a very fine young man, would have made his Dad proud.
We’re sorry to learn of this sad news, albeit so late.
