Audrey Augusta Thompson, of Milo, Alberta passed away at Bassano Hospital June 14, 2002 at the age of 86 years.
Born June 25, 1915 on the family farm southwest of Milo, only daughter of Charles and Rosa Anderson. She attended Lake McGregor and Kirkdale schools.
Audrey married Chester Thompson on March 2, 1938 and lived on the family farm until October, 1995, when she moved to her home in Milo.
Audrey always enjoyed having company. She loved to cook and made delicious buns. She had many hobbies including oil painting, ceramics, knitting, crocheting, flower arranging and making crafts. She had a wonderful garden and many many plants.
Audrey has been active in many organizations over the years including FWUA, E. L. L., Snake Valley Drop-In Center. She was a faithful member of Hope Lutheran Church.
Audrey was the beloved mother of Marilyn (Vern) Maldaner of Innisfail and Arvid (Frances) Thompson of Milo, grandchildren Cindy ( D’Arcy) Quinn, Clark (Lori) Maldaner, Wade Maldaner, Byron and Darren Thompson and 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Audrey was predeceased by her husband Chester in 1969, two brothers Earland and Chester Anderson and her parents.
Funeral Service at Milo Community Hall, Wednesday June 19, 2002 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Ed Summers officiating.
Interment at Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Milo.
Honorary Pallbearers were Bette Papp, Florence Bushell, Joanne Monner, Shirley Wilson, Ethel Heather, Maxine Deitz and all her dear friends.
Casket Bearers were Barry Monner, Gene Henry, Bruce Henry, David Deitz, Bob Fitzpatrick and Grant Lahd.

I remember Audrey Augusta Thompson, even though I was 7 years old when I met her. I am American, and my father, Arthur Charles Hultin, died November 30, 1998. He was a nephew of Rose Anderson of Vulcan, who died in about 1965.
