CAM WAS BORN JANUARY 2, 1918 ON HIS FATHER’S HOMESTEAD NEAR MILO TO JOHN AND JESSIE ROBERTSON. HE ATTENDED SCHOOL AT LAKE McGREGOR SCHOOL UNTIL HE WAS OLD ENOUGH TO TAKE OVER THE FAMILY FARM. IN 1945 CAM MET HELEN BROWN nee: KINGSMITH AND HER CHILDREN AND THEY BEGAN THEIR LIVES TOGETHER. THEY LIVED ON THE FAMILY FARM AND HAD SIX MORE CHILDREN. TOGETHER THEY FARMED THEIR LAND UNTIL 1994 WHEN

JOANNE DOROTHY AUVIGNE, OF ARROWWOOD WAS CALLED HOME TO HER LORD AND SAVIOUR MAY 23, 2001 AT THE VULCAN COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE AT THE AGE OF 54 YEARS.
JOANNE THE ELDEST DAUGHTER OF CHARLES AND THELMA BANNISTER WAS BORN DECEMBER 7, 1946 IN CALGARY, ALBERTA. SHE LIVED WITH HER PARENTS IN THE TOWN OF ARROWWOOD UNTIL MOVING TO THE FARM SOUTH OF TOWN IN 1955. SHE ATTENDED ARROWWOOD AND VULCAN SCHOOLS. UPON COMPLETION OF HIGH SCHOOL SHE MET EARL AUVIGNE AND THEY WERE MARRIED ON NOVEMBER 26, 1966 IN CALGARY. THEY STARTED THEIR LIVES TOGETHER IN EDMONTON AND LATER MOVED

EDWIN “ED” ROBERT SOKVITNE, OF VULCAN, FORMERLY OF LOMOND PASSED AWAY MAY 21, 2001 AT VULCAN COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE AT THE AGE OF 82 YEARS.
ED WAS BORN DECEMBER 18, 1918 IN LOMOND, ALBERTA TO NELS AND JOHANNA SOKVITNE. HE ATTENDED SNAKE VALLEY SCHOOL COMPLETING GRADE ELEVEN. ED THEN ATTENDED OLDS AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL FOR A YEAR, AND THEN MOVED TO CALIFORNIA WHERE HE TOOK A DIESEL MECHANICS COURSE. UPON COMPLETION OF HIS EDUCATION HE MOVED BACK TO THE LOMOND DISTRICT WHERE HE FARMED WITH HIS TWO BROTHERS. IN THE EARLY 1950’S HE PURCHASED LAND FROM HIS UNCLES ANDREW AND PAUL SOKVITNE

HENRIETTE “HARRIET” CONNON OF VULCAN, FORMERLY OF CHAMPION PASSED AWAY MAY 17, 2001 AT THE VULCAN EXTENDICARE AT THE AGE OF 81 YEARS.
HARRIET WAS BORN MAY 10, 1920 AT HENGELO, HOLLAND TO CORNELIS AND ANS DEKKER. AS A YOUNG GIRL SHE ENJOYED MANY OUTINGS WITH HER FAMILY, TOURING THE COUNTRY ON BICYCLE. EVEN AT AN EARLY AGE SHE LOVED TO READ AND KNIT. SHE OVERCAME SHYNESS TO FOLLOW IN HER FATHER’S FOOTSTEPS TO BECOME A TEACHER. WORLD WAR II ARRIVED ON HER TWENTIETH BIRTHDAY AND DESPITE HAVING MINIMAL FOOD, SHE CONTINUED TEACHING HANDICAPPED CHILDREN IN HILVERSUM. SHE MET HER FUTURE

ALAIN PIERRE HOPE-RAPP, OF VULCAN PASSED AWAY APRIL 18, 2001 AT HIS HOME IN VULCAN, ALBERTA AT THE AGE OF 76 YEARS.
ALAIN WAS BORN APRIL 8, 1925 IN TUNISIA, NORTH AFRICA. HE ATTENDED SCHOOL IN AFRICA AND UPON COMPLETING HIS EDUCATION WORKED ON THE FAMILY FARM. IN 1944 DURING THE WAR AFTER THE LIBERATION OF TUNISIA, HE WENT TO THE UNITED STATES TO TRAIN AS A PILOT. IN 1945 AFTER THE WAR, HE RETURNED TO TUNISIA TO WORK ON HIS OWN FARM AND HE WORKED IN THE WINERY OF HIS FUTURE FATHER-IN-LAW. IN 1960 HE MARRIED MARIE MATHILDE ROSENLECKER

SONNY WAS BORN MARCH 26, 1923 IN PORTLAND, OREGON TO WILLIAM AND MAE McMULLEN. AT ONE YEAR OF AGE HE MOVED WITH HIS FAMILY TO THE EASTWAY DISTRICT. HE ATTENDED UNION JACK SCHOOL FROM GRADE ONE THROUGH GRADE NINE. AFTER COMPLETING HIS EDUCATION HE WORKED AS A FARM HAND FOR DAVE LEWIS FOR A YEAR WHERE HE LEARNED TO SHOW SHEEP. GLADYS WAS BORN MAY 15, 1908 AT EDMORE, NORTH DAKOTA TO PEDER AND MINA SOLI. AT TWO WEEKS OF AGE SHE MOVED WITH HER FAMILY TO THE QUEENSTOWN AREA, WHERE SHE GREW UP ON THE FAMILY HOMESTEAD WITH HER SEVEN SISTERS AND BROTHERS. AUDREY WAS BORN OCTOBER 29, 1925 AT GREEN FIELD PARK, QUEBEC TO MICHAEL AND IDA LEE, WHERE SHE ATTENDED SCHOOL. AT AN EARLY AGE SHE MARRIED MR.
