David Albert Brown, beloved husband of Marj, passed away January 14, 2007 at Vulcan, Alberta at the age of 66 years.
Dave is also survived by a stepson Frank Kohut of Calgary, two sisters-in-law Joyce (Gordon) Roe and Carol Gorzitza, all of Vulcan.

Gilbert Allen Vooys, beloved husband of the late Elsie Vooys, passed away January 8, 2007 at Strathmore, Alberta at the age of 95 years.
Gilbert was born July 20, 1911 at Tacoma, Washington to Arie and Margarite Vooys. In 1920 the family immigrated to Alberta. Gilbert attended Corbie Hill and Pioneer Schools. He met his wife Elsie when the band that she played on, played at a dance after a baseball tournament. After a six month courtship, they were married on November 7, 1947. SHAW, Leslie Francis 1915 – 2006
Leslie Francis Shaw passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on December 23, 2006 at the age of 91 years.
Les was born on July 25, 1915 in Vulcan, third child of Frank and Mary Anne Shaw. Les grew up on the family (Frank Shaw) homestead three miles west of Vulcan. He attended both the Harvey School and the Vulcan School. After completing high school, he took several short courses at SAIT and diesel school in Edmonton.
Les began his farming career when he purchased the Ruppel homestead in the 1940’s. Les also owned land west of Milo (Section 33),

Booker, Lynn Ann, passed away on December 16, 2006 in Champion, Alberta at the age of 54 years.
Lynn was born at Crystal City, Manitoba on July 2, 1952 to Michael and Nellie Booker and she was raised at Snowflake, Manitoba. The family moved to many places because Lynn’s father worked on oil pipelines. Lynn attended Guelph and Waterloo University and graduated with a degree in sociology. She then traveled to the Marshall Islands where she resided for a year.

Nelsie Hulda Aleah Robertson passed away December 7, 2006 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 91 years.
Nelsie was born February 22, 1915 at Milo, Alberta to Nels and Hulda Peterson. She attended Corby Hill School until Grade 5 and then Milo School until Grade 12. Nelsie worked at Thompson’s Grocery Store on Saturdays and started working there full time after she finished school. She moved to Calgary in 1936 and worked for the Tanner Family. Agnes Marie Hall passed away November 29, 2006 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 89 years.
Agnes was born July 12, 1917 at Champion, Alberta to Peter and Edna Holm. She attended Champion School for Grades 1-12. In 1938 Agnes moved to Calgary and attended Tech where she studied Dressmaking and Design. She came back to Champion and worked as a seamstress. Alberta Eveline (Eva) Ivers died very peacefully October 13, 2006 at Vulcan, Alberta two days before her 97th birthday.
Eva was born October 15, 1909 at Edmonton, Alberta to Jack and Jessie McKernan.
Eva married Lewis Ivers of Milo and she resided at Milo until moving to Peter Dawson Lodge in 1997. In 2004 she moved to the Long term care unit of the Vulcan Community Health Centre.

Patrick John “Pat” Lewis formerly of Vulcan, Alberta passed away October 10, 2006 at Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 56 years.
Pat was born January 23, 1950 at Vulcan, Alberta to Milton and Joan Lewis. He attended Travers and Vulcan schools. Pat worked for the County on road construction for a season after finishing school. He also worked for Cody Whiteside as a hired hand and at Vulcan Seed Cleaning Plant with his father. Pat was in a severe car accident in 1973 and was unable to work after that. He was diagnosed

Dorothy was born January 27, 1917 at Lomond, Alberta to Joseph and Frieda Rodgers. She attended school in the Lomond area and went to work as a domestic upon completing high school.
