Spaeth, James Leroy “Jim” passed away suddenly at Vulcan on April 30, 2008 at the age of 63 years.
Jim was born May 3, 1944 at Vulcan, Alberta to Howard and Mae Spaeth. He took all his schooling at Vulcan and went onto Olds College. As a young man Jim was a 4-H member, president of the Vulcan Lions Club, SACA coach and member of the Vulcan Golf & Country Club. He met Charlene Webb and they were married October 24, 1964. They moved onto the Spaeth homestead and then moved to the Howard Spaeth Farmstead in 1966. They live there
LUNDBERG, Hazel Marie 1916 – 2008
Hazel Marie Lundberg, formerly of Champion, passed away at Vulcan Community Health Centre April 21, 2008 at the age of 91 years.
Hazel Lundberg was born June 25, 1916 at Carmangay, Alberta to Ernest and Emma Nowlin. She was the second youngest of eight children.
Hazel was a member of the Easter Star and was presented with her 50 year jewel from Ferrodale Chapter #65 O.E.S. in 1998.

Olive May Strauss, beloved wife of Jerry Strauss, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on Sunday, April 20,2008 at the age of 72 years.
Olive was born on June 1, 1935 at Arrowwood, Alberta to Dick and May Hurl and was their oldest child. She grew up on the family homestead near Mossleigh where her brother Allan still resides. Throughout her life Olive worked at various jobs in the food industry and provided secretarial services to a few different companies as well. Kenneth Albert “Ken” Street passed away April 11, 2008 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 67 years.
Ken was born on July 26, 1940 at Montreal, Quebec to Alice and George Street.
Ken is survived by his loving wife Patricia, sister Margaret (Vince) Refsahl-Jensen of Edmonton, brother George (Diana) of Glenwood and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken was predeceased by his parents.
Funeral service April 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vulcan Evangelical Missionary Church with Pastor Peter Campbell officiating.

BURTON, Walter James 1931 – 2008
Walter James Burton passed away April 11, 2008 at the Peter Lougheed Health Centre at Calgary at the age of 77 years.
Walter was born March 8, 1931 at Englebert, Manitoba to Alexander and Betty Burton. He moved to BC and worked in a mill for thirty years and then worked in maintenance at Simon Fraser University. He met Audrey Martin in 1982 and they were married in 1996. Walter retired and they moved to Vulcan in 1999 where they have resided since.

Florence Lillian Bushell, beloved wife of the late John Edward “Jack” Bushell, formerly of Milo, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on April 6, 2008 at the age of 94 years.
Beloved mother of a daughter Audrey (Ron), daughter-in-law Marg, grandchildren Ken (Monnie), Laurie (Lorne), Doug (Sharleen), Christine (Galvin), Cindy (Mike), great grandchildren Tammy (Marc), Josh (Sarah), Shaun, Amanda (Chris), Michele, Maria, Devon, Cali, Casey and a sister Edith.

Albert West, formerly of Lomond, Alberta, passed away at the Brentwood Care Centre, Calgary, on March 22, 2008 at the age of 88 years.
