Mason, Cecil Frederick “Bud” passed away December 9, 2008 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 68 years.
Bud will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 46 years Florence, his three children Charles (Brenda), Wendy, Patricia (Darrin), his grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters Ruby and Elaine, numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Ethel Mason.

Karman Marie Gooch of Arrowwood, Alberta passed away at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary, Alberta December 6, 2008 at the age of 23 years.
Karman was born May 20, 1985 at Vulcan, Alberta to Gordon and Terri Gooch. From the moment she was born, she became a shining light and inspiration to everyone. Karman could brighten the room with her smile and make all those around her feel good. Her first heart surgery took place at four months and she never looked back. Kranzler, Lillian “Lily”, beloved wife of the late Ernie Kranzler, passed away peacefully December 1, 2008 at Little Bow Continuing Care Center at the age of 88 years.
Lily was born December 24, 1919 in South Russia to Adam and Helena Krause. The family immigrated to Canada when she was three. They lived in Burstall, Saskatchewan where Lily attended school for Grades 1-8. Lily moved to Carbon and was working in the food service industry when she met Ernie. DEAL, Lillian 1915 – 2008
Deal, Lillian, beloved wife of the late Roy Deal, passed away November 26, 2008 at Little Bow Continuing Care Centre at the age of 92 years.
Lillian was born December 26, 1915 on the homestead of her parents, Tom and Lynda Clifford, in the Champion area. She attended Long Coulee School until the family moved to the Reid Hill District in 1925. Lillian attended Reid Hill School and went to high school in ‘Vulcan where she finished Grade 11. She returned home to help out and also worked for John Willard. Lillian met Roy Deal at the Reid Hill Baptist Church
CONSTABLE, Mary “Mae” Elizabeth 1916 – 2008
Constable, Mary “Mae” Elizabeth passed away November 25, 2008 at Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre at the age of 92 years.
Mae was born August 16, 1916 at Calgary, Alberta to Joseph and Sarah Kennedy. She met and married Ernie Constable and lived in Calgary until retirement. They retired to Vancouver Island and lived there for 20 years. Mae moved back to Alberta after Ernie died. She has resided at Willow Creek Auxiliary Care Centre since March, 1997. Mae loved to paint, garden, bowl and play bridge with her girlfriends.

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Irene Kinakin on November 19, 2008 at Calgary, Alberta at the age of 89 years.
She was predeceased by our dad, John W. Salken in 1962, her parents, two sisters and a brother.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Leonard B. Urzada announce his passing. Leonard was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on January 12, 1936 and passed away peacefully on November 15, 2008 in Vulcan surrounded by his loving family members.
Leonard married Irene Korby on July 16, 1958 and shortly thereafter moved his new wife and family west to Calgary where he was eventually employed with Canada Malting for 42 years until his retirement in 1999. Richard Walter “Dick” Groves of Champion passed away suddenly at Vulcan October 29, 2008 at the age of 47 years.
Dick was born August 24, 1961 at Vulcan to Keith and Barbara Groves. He attended Champion School for Grades 1-9 and the high school in Vulcan for Grades 10-12. Dick enjoyed playing football and curling in high school. After graduation in 1979, he went to Calgary where he worked as a courier. Dick decided to go back to school and attended SAIT taking Business Administration. From there he worked at different jobs in the construction industry until he started with Prudential
WARREN, Hubert Louis 1924 – 2008
Hubert Louis Warren formerly of Champion, Alberta, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre October 17, 2008 at the age of 84 years.
Hubert was born March 10, 1924 to Lewis and Ella Belle Warren. He attended school in the Champion area and continued to farm in the area. On October 29, 1948 he married Edith Williams and together they raised a family in the Champion area.
Hubert was a gifted mechanic and loved farming. He supported the community as a Life Member of the Champion Lions Club. He and Edith loved to travel and spent many summers in the Shuswap

Russell Edward Smith formerly of the Vulcan area passed away October 14, 2008 at Calgary, Alberta at the age of 75 years.
Russell was born January 10, 1933 at Vulcan to Donald and Hazel Smith. He attended Berrywater school for grades 1-2, Red Cross School for grades 3-7, Vulcan School for grades 7-10 and Red Deer Composite High School for Grade 11.
