KOVACS, Ladislav ‘Leslie’   1927 – 2011

Ladislav “Leslie” Kovacs of Vulcan passed away Saturday March 5, 2011 at Vulcan Community Health Center at the age of 83 years.
A Celebration of Life was held on saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Tuxedo Park Community Center, Calgary, Alberta from 2-6 pm.
Cremation. Inurement at a later date in Salmon Arm Cemetery, Salmon Arm, B.C.
In lieu of flowers tributes in Leslie’s memory could be made to Vulcan Health Care Auxiliary Box 299 Vulcan, Alberta T0L 2B0.

Leslie will be missed by Ernest (Julie), Ildiko (Jason), Ashlyn, Dean, Brayden, Tibor (Kelly), Jay (Shaina) and Dustin.

Dorothy is survived by sister Janet Belbas and family of Manitoba, brother Allan (Marilyn) Major of B.C.; beloved friend of Joan (George) Johnson and Joan’s sons Todd (Cari) Ensign and their children Blake and Ashley; Troy (Tammie) Ensign and children Josi and Daneri; dear friend to so many.

John Louis Engen was born May 19, 1930 in the Vulcan Hospital to Art and Anna Engen and passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 26, 2011 at home.
John was raised on a family farm 15 miles East of Vulcan where he lived and farmed until retiring in 1995, and then moved to Vulcan. He attended Sunnyside School, a one room school house 1 ½ miles North of his home until it closed, and completed his education to Grade 10 at Reid Hill School.

Arnold Clarence “Arnie” Robinson of Champion, Alberta passed away following a courageous battle with cancer January 18, 2011 at the age of 62 years.
Arnie was born April 9, 1948 at Medicine Hat, Alberta to Clarence and Alice Robinson. He attended school at Etzikom. He met and married Marjorie Nolan in September 1969. He returned to school and graduated as a heavy duty mechanic from Lethbridge Community Collage in 1988.

NADOBNY, Carol Elaine  1942-2011

Carol Elaine Nadobny was born on August 11, 1942 in Lethbridge, Alberta. She moved from Picture Butte to Vulcan with her family in 1945. Carol married Ken Nadobny on September 12, 1961 in Kemmer, Wyoming. They lived in Ottawa and then Renfrew, Ontario until 1964 when they returned to Vulcan.
Carol loved to work in the greenhouse Ken built for her and thoroughly enjoyed growing her tomatoes and cucumbers each year. She loved to read and also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She often had a table at the Vulcan Craft Fair where her doilies, dishcloths and Barbie clothes were very popular.
