Beloved husband of the late Annette and loving father of four children Barry (Aggie), Brian, Tami (Dan) and Danny, two grandchildren Cory and Cody.
Funeral service Tuesday, February 28th, 2012 at 1:30 pm at Vulcan Evangelical Missionary Church 529 Centre Street, Vulcan, Alberta with Pastor Larry Jones officiating.

LOOSE, Otto Carl “Bunty” 1934 – 2012
Loose, Otto Carl “Bunty” of Vulcan passed away January 14, 2012 at the age of 77 years.
Otto was born on March 7, 1934 at Magrath, Alberta to Otto and Agnes Loose. The family moved to the Roger Hubbard farm east of Vulcan in 1938. In the fall of 1945, they moved and were raised west of Vulcan. They attended school in Sandpit, Sunny Glen, Reid Hill and eventually Vulcan. When Otto and Agnes retired from farming in 1957, Bunty took over the farm. Bunty married Gretta Jose on September 29, 1961 and together they farmed for thirty years.

Catherine Nancy “Kaye” Fath formerly of Champion passed away at Vulcan Community Health Centre January 10, 2012 at the age of 85 years with her family by her side.
Kaye was born November 8, 1926 at Calgary, Alberta to Joseph and Sarah Kennedy were she completed her schooling. She met and married Philip February 10, 1949 and together they came to the Champion area to begin farm life, after the first few years on the farm they built a home in Champion where they resided until retiring and selling the farm to son Glenn.

John Welsh formerly of Turin, Alberta passed away peacefully at Vulcan Health Centre at the age of 82 years with his family at his side.
John was born on the family farm near Keho Lake and farmed in the Newlands area and later moved to the farm at Turin. John enjoyed hunting, camping, travelling and times with friends and family. He enjoyed many winters in Yuma, Arizona and times at Moyie Lake, B.C. John especially enjoyed having fun with his grandchildren.

Massey, Ronald “Ron” Ray formerly of Champion passed away December 28, 2011 at Calgary at the age of 79 years.
Beloved father of two daughters Michele (Curtis) Haimila of Calgary, Lynette Massey of Lethbridge, three sons Mike (Patti), Grant (Cathy), both of Vulcan and Darcy (Lori) Massey of Ft. McMurray, seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

BECKNER, Ray
Ray was born in Calgary, Alberta December 5, 1918, he died November 17, 2011 at Bow Island Nursing Home at the age of 92 years. Ray was a grain buyer for United Grain Growers for close to 30 years, working in country elevators throughout Southern Alberta. He married Elfriede “Freda” in 1975 and they moved to Bow Island in 1980, where Ray has continued to reside since.
He is survived by a daughter Butch (Jim) Potter, stepchildren Christel (Frank) Carpenter, Heike Unser Walter (Carol) Krysiak, a sister Doris McLean, numerous nieces and nephews.

VERSLUYS, Margaret “Peggy” Irene 1936 – 2011
Margaret (Peggy) Irene Versluys passed away November 16, 2011 at Lethbridge, Alberta.
Peggy was born on April 5th, 1936 at Edmonton, Alberta to parents Guy and Enid Fraser.
Peggy spent her childhood in Edmonton and later attended the University of Alberta where she completed her Education certificate with a major in Home Economics. She came to Vulcan in 1957 and taught as a circuit teacher throughout the County.
While she was living in Vulcan, she met Donald Versluys and they married on July 16th, 1960. They had four beautiful daughters; Karen, Colleen, Gail and Debbie. As the girls grew up she kept busy

GILLESPIE, Douglas Darryl (Doug) of Lomond passed away November 7, 2011 at Vulcan Community Health Center at the age of 40 years.
Memorial service was held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Lake McGregor Country Estates Club House (Highway 534, 48 km East of Vulcan).
