Michael Stephen Tabor, of Vulcan, passed away suddenly at home on April 7, 2014 at the age of 47 years.
Michael Stephen Tabor was born in Oxbow, SK on June 15, 1966. Mike spent his early childhood in Regina and area before moving to Sherwood Park, Alberta, when he was 10 years old.
Mike frequently expressed love and pride for his parents, Helen and Tim. He adored his sister Michelle, who was two years younger, and brother Timothy Jr, eleven years younger.
Mike met Shelley and her three young children in 1994. They moved back to Saskatchewan a few months later and the city boy bachelor delved into family life and country living. Mike and his new family lived and worked in Saskatchewan until 1999, when career opportunities for Shelley brought them to Alberta. They purchased an acreage near Vulcan a year later. Mike worked as a Millwright and welder until his new career began with a local grain handling company, at the time, called Ag Pro. He was dedicated to his job and the changing roles that were presented to him.
Mike was a gifted and completely humble man. He fixed, built, fabricated and invented almost anything and was the “go-to-guy” for his friends and family. He enjoyed his tools and machinery, computers and cars, especially his cars, which he restored from the ground up!
Mike will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held April 12, 2014 at 1 pm at the Vulcan Lodge Hall (231 Centre Street), Vulcan, AB, Rev. Gordon Cranch officiating.

Helen: Chris and I were so saddened to hear of the loss of your son, Michael. The loss is all the more tragic considering both his young age and the suddenness of his passing. Although we did not know Michael, if he was anything like you, Helen, then he was a truly fine person who will be sadly missed by all. We can only hope that you and Tim and Shelley can come through your grief remembering him and all the good times you had shared together. Please do accept our sincere condolences for your loss, and know that you are in our thoughts. Frank and Chris
