STURGEON, Darlene Joyce    1941 – 2022

Darlene Joyce Sturgeon, of Champion, beloved wife of Bob, passed away peacefully at Vulcan Extendicare on February 5, 2022 at the age of 80 years.

Darlene was born September 2, 1941 in Medicine Hat, AB to Walter and Ora Carlson. She was raised with her brothers and educated in Medicine Hat. She worked as a bookkeeper for B & D Hotshot, a company she co-owned with husband Bob.

Darlene loved fishing, hunting, painting, crocheting and arts and crafts of all kinds. She especially loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by her family but fondly remembered.

Besides her loving husband Bob, Darlene is survived by her children – Wayne Sturgeon of Calgary, Arlene Muller of Edmonton, Leyanne Gardner of High Level, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, brother Gerald Carlson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Ron Carlson.

At Darlene’s request, there will not be a formal service at this time.
