STONE, Christien ‘Chris’ J. R. 1980 – 2025

Christien Robert Stone of Vulcan passed away at the Arthur Child Cancer Centre in Calgary on February 20th, 2025.

Chris was born June 1st, 1980, in Cowansville, Quebec, the younger son of Jeannette LeBlanc of Shediac, New Brunswick, and Michael Stone of Knowlton, Quebec.

Throughout his life, Chris built up businesses that were testaments to his passions and tremendous talents. First, as a stone mason, he created monumental designs that were a tribute to his creative ingenuity. Later, he discovered a talent for systems analysis and translated that skill to the oil pipeline industry. He moved with his family to Alberta and developed a unique system for testing pipelines to ensure the safety of people and the environment. He was a builder who took pride in creating things with his hands.

Chris loved traveling with his family, especially to Mexico, which was a special place for them. He had a sharp sense of humor, and his mind was always working.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Melissa Paige, and his son Isaac. He is also survived by both his parents, his brother Peter, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

There will be no formal service. A private celebration will be held for close friends and family.

Donations in Chris’ honor to support Melissa and Isaac may be made to a GoFundMe set up for that purpose at https://www.gofundme.com/f/chris-and-his-family-going-through-cancer

May you find the courage to move forward,
