James ‘Jim’ Roy Stewart of Vulcan, passed away at the Calgary South Health Campus on July 23, 2024 at the age of 79 years.
Jim grew up on a farm near Mossleigh, Alberta. He lost his father at a young age and after his father’s passing, he and his mother moved to Lethbridge and later moved back to Vulcan.
Throughout his life he lived in several places in Southern Alberta, settling in Vulcan around 16 years ago. The people of Vulcan greeted him as he did his daily rounds through the downtown, reporting the weather and was especially concerned that all were aware of Daylight Savings, and reminded them to change their clocks spring and fall. He continued this practice when he moved into Long Term Care in the Vulcan Hospital where he was greatly loved.
His sudden passing has left an empty place in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. So on their behalf we say, we love you Jim, and we will miss you. Goodbye to our dear friend.

The Jim I knew was a gentle giant. His knowledge of old western movie series was beyond impressive. It was a pleasure to get to know him
He was such a kind hearted man. We will miss his laugh and his happy disposition.
