MARCELLA ANNE STEINER
September 25, 1924 to June 9, 2017
Marcella Steiner passed away on June 9, 2017 at the Willow Creek Care Centre in Claresholm. Marcella now joins her husband Carl, who passed August 29, 2008 and whom she missed so much.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family, eldest daughter Laurie (Norm) Wright and their daughters Cynthia and Shawna, daughter Judy (Maurice) McKinney and their children Jordan (Nola), Grandchildren Elise, Devon and Dallas; Harley (Kaylene) Grandchildren Brooke and Bentley; Lindsey (Skyler) Schwabenbauer. Daughter-in-law Jean Ann Steiner and her sons Karl (Jennifer) Grandchildren Tesla and Anna; Kurtis. Marcella was predeceased by her beloved husband Carl, two sons Randy and Charles, seven siblings, and parents Paul and Laura Randle.
Marcella was born in Cereal, AB and grew up on the Randle Farm near Herronton. She married Carl on February 22, 1946 and they lived on the Steiner Farm in the Vulcan area. In later years they spent their winters in Yuma, Arizona. In 1990 they retired to Nanton so they could enjoy more golfing. After Carl passed away, Marcella returned to Vulcan and made the Peter Dawson Lodge her home. Golfing was her favourite pastime and she spent many hours in the farm yard driving balls out and chipping them back. She was also a wonderful pianist and was still able to play the old dance music up until two weeks before she passed away.
Memorial service will be held Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2 pm at the Vulcan United Church (210-2 Ave. S) with Sue MacDonald officiating. lnurnment at the Vulcan Cemetery Columbarium.
