SOKVITNE, (Martha) Florence
It is with sadness that Florence’s family announce her peaceful passing at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on May 25, 2018 at the age of 91 ½ years.

Rhonda… Thank you.
Speak with you soon.
Carol so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. My deepest sympathy to you & your family.
Lovely kind lady. She will be misses by all.
Thank you kindly
Sorry for your loss!
Our deepest symphaty for your loss goes to Carol, Dwain and Florence’s family from the family in Norway. Florence was a great person and the main reason why we got in touch with family both in Canada and USA. For us Vulcan will be a different place without Florence, and it will be strange coming to Calgary without Florence meeting us on the airport. We are feeling with you!
Thank you, I know… but we all hope to see you soon.
Thinking of you. Your memories will be with you forever.
Many Thanks to you.
My deepest sympathies go out to Carol, Dwain, and all the extended families at the recent passing of Florence. Her fun, adventurous spirit, her friendship to everyone she met, her laughter, and her kindness to all will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her; but these traits are also part of her lasting legacy to her children, her friends, and the communities in which she lived. She will be terribly missed but a little of her spirit lives on in all of us.
I am unable to attend the funeral tomorrow; however, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Peace and Blessings from Wendy Elliott Peterson
Thank you for your message Wendy. Hope to see you soon.
Hugs to your family hearing this sad news. Deb and myself were so honoured to attend Florence’s 90th birthday. We felt so welcomed by everyone. We were so amazed that Florence had made Rosettes for her own party. When we returned home I rushed out to buy the iron to carry on the tradition
Good for you Cheryl!!
Lots of good memories.
Thank you for your message.
To the family of Florence Sokvitne,
I was so sorry to hear of Florence’s passing. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.
I don’t know any of her children but I do know her brothers and sister-in-law, Muriel.
I worked one summer for Florence when I was a teen-ager. It was my first real job. I remember it fondly.
She will be remembered.
Nice memories. Thank you for your words.
I wish to extend my sincerest sympathy to Florence\s Family She was such a caring lovely person. I do not know if I will be able to attend.
Thank you for your words.
Dear Carol, sending you my deepest Symphathies.

Åse Naylor
I will soon. Thank you Aase.
My sympathy goes out to Carol, Dwain, Florence’s brothers and sister, and to all the Sokvitne and Magnuson family on Florence’s passing. She was a wonderful friend and neighbour who did so much for her family, friends, church, and community. We shall all miss her greatly, but we take heart in the fact Florence had a long and happy life, was very much a woman of Faith, and was prepared for “her next great trip”. I shall always be extremely grateful for her kindness, friendship, and all the wonderful things she did for my family and me. Florence Sokvitne was truly “one in a billion”, and she will be remembered with love by all of us!
Thank-you Marvin… beautiful words.
