Birdella Alberta Sealock formerly of the Armada district passed away peacefully at Vulcan Community Health Centre February 6, 2009 at the age of 91 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her five children Ken (Marie) of Milo, Bill (Maxine) of Kamloops, B.C., Glenda (Ron) of Jupiter, Florida, Donna (Jack) of Brooks, Don (Del) of Medicine Hat, sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, a sister Laverne Schlaht of Lomond, numerous nieces and nephews.
Birdella was predeceased by her husband Glenn, her parents Vern and Blanche Williams, sisters Eileen Donley and Melba Williams.
Birdella was born April 14, 1917 at the farm home in the Armada district. She attended Sunny Plains school. Birdella married Glenn Sealock November 4, 1938 and together they farmed in the Armada district until they retired to Lomond. Following Glenn’s passing September 30, 1996, she moved to the Peter Dawson Lodge in Vulcan where she resided until her passing.
Birdella’s greatest joy in life was her family and leaves a great legacy in them. She was a gentle, loving lady, and we will miss her greatly every day of our lives.
A private family graveside service and burial was held Wednesday February 11, 2009 at 11 am at Lomond Cemetery with Pastor Peter Campbell officiating.
Casket bearers were her grandchildren.
Birdella’s family of would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful staff of the Peter Dawson Lodge and the Vulcan Community Health Center.
