RUTBERG, MYRTLE THERESA WAS CALLED HOME TO HER LORD AND SAVIOUR MAY 18, 1997 AT THE AGE OF 83 YEARS.
MYRTLE WAS BORN AUGUST 28, 1913 AT VULCAN, ALBERTA, THE YOUNGEST OF TEN CHILDREN BORN TO JOHN AND MINNIE (nee: EAMOR) FULTON. SHE GREW UP ON THE FARMSTEAD AND ATTENDED RED CROSS SCHOOL. MYRTLE MET HAAKON WALTIMAR “HANK” RUTBERG HER HUSBAND TO BE WHILE HE WAS WORKING AS A FARM HAND IN THE VULCAN AREA, THEY WERE MARRIED MARCH 14, 1935.
MYRTLE AND “HANK” CONTINUED TO RESIDE IN THE VULCAN AREA. MYRTLE WAS A LONGTIME MEMBER OF THE CENTRAL CHURCH OF CHRIST.
BELOVED MOTHER OF TWO DAUGHTERS EILEEN (JOCK) NELSON AND MARILYN (HARRY) SHERSTABETOFF ALL OF CALGARY, TWO SONS CALVIN (IONA) OF VULCAN AND GERALD (JAN) OF ST. ALBERT, EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN, THREE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, TWO BROTHERS MELVIN FULTON OF CALGARY AND CHARLIE FULTON OF VULCAN.
MYRTLE WAS PREDECEASED BY HER HUSBAND HANK IN 1981, A GRANDSON, FOUR SISTERS, THREE BROTHERS, HER PARENTS.
FUNERAL SERVICE THURSDAY, MAY 22, 1997 AT 1:30 P.M. AT VULCAN CENTRAL CHURCH OF CHRIST WITH REV. DOUG BARRIE AND REV. JIM CHAPMAN OFFICIATING.
INTERMENT VULCAN CEMETERY.
