Alexander “Alex” Plytka of Vulcan, passed away September 16, 2013 at Vulcan Extendicare at the age of 82 years.
Alex was born in Bellevue, AB, to parents Peter and Rose Plytka. After spending his youth in the Crowsnest Pass, he later moved to the family farm in the Alston district at Vulcan, AB with his parents and brother Steve.
Alex enjoyed visiting with his many friends and neighbors, always greeting them with a joyous smile.
Alex is survived by his faithful brother Steve, sister Mary Mazur and twelve nieces and nephews and their families. Alex was pre-deceased by his parents, sisters Sophie Olson, Helen Welechuk, Nancy Laforme and brother Joe Czak.
Celebration of Life Gathering will be held September 23, 2013 at 1:30 pm at the Vulcan Victory Family Church, with Pastor Dale Wright officiating.
Private family inurnment Alston Cemetery, Champion, AB at a later date.
