Constantino “Tino” Pasolli, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2004 at his home at the age of 80 years.
Tino was born in Cavedine, Italy on July 15, 1923, the second son of Evaristo and Maria Pasolli. He immigrated to Canada in 1925 to the Hardieville area. In 1932 the family moved to the Reid Hill District where Evaristo co-owned a coal mine. Tino and his brothers Livio and Sev worked in the mine until they closed in 1968. In the late 1940’s the Pasolli family started in the farming business which Tino took on as his sole livelihood after leaving the mines.
In November 1963 Tino traveled to Italy and married Agnese Gober of Cavedine, Italy. Tino and Agnese had two children, Anna Marie and Ronald.
Tino’s main loves in life were his family – most especially his grandchildren, his garden and sports.
Beloved husband of Agnese, loving father of a daughter Anna Marie (Clark) McAskile, a son Ron (Melissa) Pasolli, six grandchildren Kylan, Shayla, Devyn and Taryn McAskile, Gabriella and Marla Pasolli, brother Severino Pasolli, sister Edith (James) Andre, sister-in-law Elsie Pasolli numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews.
Tino was predeceased by his parents Evaristo and Maria Pasolli, a brother Livio and a sister-in-law Ruth.
Friends are invited to meet for prayers Thursday January 15, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church, Champion.
Mass of a Christian burial Friday January 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church, Champion with Rev. Benedicto Marino officiating.
Honorary bearers were Keith and Barbara Groves, Paul and Ruby DeClercq, John and Betty Roebuck, John and Joan MacDougall, Bob Marshman and Ted Fedaj.
Casket bearers were Ken Pasolli, Dave Pasolli, Alan Pasolli, Kevin Pasolli, Eugene Englehart and Gordon Englehart.
Internment Champion Catholic Cemetery.
