Fulton, Charles Edward “Charlie passed away peacefully May 13, 2008 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 96 years.
Charlie was born August 18, 1911 at Vulcan, Alberta to John and Minnie Fulton.  Upon graduating high school he continued to normal school in Calgary gaining his teaching certificate. Some of the schools Charlie taught at were Midnapore, Reid Hill and Brant where he was principal. Degenstein, August Joseph passed away peacefully at Vulcan Extendicare May 8, 2008 at the age of 94 years.
August was born on October 24, 2913 at Berwick, North Dakota to Joseph and Barbara Degenstein. When August was five years old they moved to Turin, Alberta and later to Lomond.
August joined the Royal Canadian Engineers Corp. in 1942. He married Dorothy Hummel in June, 1943. The following month he was sent overseas and served on the front lines in WWII until returning home in December 1945.  August moved his family to Warner where he worked on the Lorne McKenzie farm. Rollingson, Brian James passed away suddenly near Mossleigh, Alberta May 7, 2008 at the age of 17 years.
Beloved son of Len “Rolly” and Mayda Rollingson of Mossleigh, brother of Shauna Rollingson (Cpl. Hugh Hayes) of Wainwright, step brother of Neil (Chantel) Rollingson of Lethbridge, Dan (Stephanie) Rollingson of Coaldale, grandson of Evert (Meiny) Veldhuizen of Lethbridge, numerous relatives in Canada, England and Holland.
Memorial Service for Brian was held Wednesday May 14, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Vulcan Cultural Recreation Centre.

William Ronald “Ron”  Thompson passed away peacefully on May 6, 2008 at his home at the age of 79 years.
Ron was born January 17, 1929 on the farm at Arrowwood, Alberta to Billy and Leita Thompson.  After completing his grade 11 in Arrowwood, Ron completed his grade 12 at Mount Royal College.  He continued his education at Olds Agricultural School for one year,  finishing his schooling at SAIT. Hazel Lundberg was born June 25, 1916 at Carmangay, Alberta to Ernest and Emma Nowlin. She was the second youngest of eight children.

Kenneth Albert “Ken” Street passed away April 11, 2008 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 67 years.
Ken was born on July 26, 1940 at Montreal, Quebec to Alice and George Street.
Ken is survived by his loving wife Patricia, sister Margaret (Vince) Refsahl-Jensen of Edmonton, brother George (Diana) of Glenwood and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken was predeceased by his parents.
Funeral service April 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vulcan Evangelical Missionary Church with Pastor Peter Campbell officiating.

BURTON, Walter James   1931 – 2008

Walter James Burton passed away April 11, 2008 at the Peter Lougheed Health Centre at Calgary at the age of 77 years.
Walter was born March 8, 1931 at Englebert, Manitoba to Alexander and Betty Burton.   He moved to BC and worked in a mill for thirty years and then worked in maintenance at Simon Fraser University.  He met Audrey Martin in 1982 and they were married in 1996.  Walter retired and they moved to Vulcan in 1999 where they have resided since.
