It is with heavy hearts that the family of Leonard B. Urzada announce his passing.  Leonard was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on January 12, 1936  and passed away peacefully on November 15, 2008 in Vulcan surrounded by his loving family members.
Leonard married Irene Korby on July 16, 1958 and shortly thereafter moved his new wife and family west to Calgary where he was eventually employed with Canada Malting for 42 years until his retirement in 1999.  Len and Irene moved into a retirement community in Vulcan where they met and were reunited with friends new and old.  In his spare

Richard Walter “Dick” Groves of Champion passed away suddenly at Vulcan October 29, 2008 at the age of 47 years.

Hubert Louis Warren formerly of Champion, Alberta, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre October 17, 2008 at the age of 84 years.
Hubert was born March 10, 1924 to Lewis and Ella Belle Warren. He attended school in the Champion area and continued to farm in the area. On October 29, 1948 he married Edith Williams and together they raised a family in the Champion area.

Oma Louretta Causey finished her journey of life on this earth on September 30, 2008 at Vulcan Extendicare at the age of 88 years.
Louretta, only child of Champion pioneers, the late Fred and Oma Clever, was born March 4, 1920 at Vulcan Alberta.  She was the grand daughter of Martin George Clever, founder of Cleverville, later renamed Champion after the town site was relocated closer to the railway.  Louretta had a full, rich, happy life growing up with many friends and devoted parents.  She married Dave Causey in August, 1942 and together they farmed side by side with her parents.
