Gooch, Dennis George, of Vulcan, beloved husband of Darlene, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, surrounded by his loving family, on March 23, 2015 at the age of 71 years.
Dennis was born on December 21, 1943, only son of George and Mabel Gooch. He, along with his two sisters, were raised in the Eastway/Milo district.

Besides his loving wife Darlene, Dennis is survived by his son Troy (Amy Stewart) and their children Chaz, Dustin and Skylie, two daughters Cindy (Rick) Goldhawk and their children Camryn and Cale and Sherri (David) Ng and their children Rylan and Cohen, sisters

Comstock, Stanley “Stan” , of Vulcan, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on March 7, 2015 at the age of 90 years.

Stan entered the theater of World War II in Holland with the Regina Rifles. After the war, he worked in the grain industry for 36 years with the Alberta Wheat Pool.

The family of Kathleen Jane “Kay” Doeling regretfully announces her passing on Feb. 15 at the age of 97 years.
Kathleen was born in her parents’ homestead farmhouse in Vulcan County, Alberta, the only child of pioneers Frieda and John McRoberts. She rode on horseback, weather permitting, to Sunny Glen School through Grade 8, then boarded weekdays in Vulcan to attend high school. David was born in Vulcan, Alberta on August 17, 1932 to William and Odile Paton, where he grew up on the family farm northwest of Vulcan.

Dorothy was born in Nanton, Alberta on April 1, 1939 and grew up in High River, Alberta. She was married to Adolf Bexte who passed away March 16, 2013.

Mary passed away peacefully on December 29, 2014 at Coaldale, Alberta at the age of 97 years.
Mary was born on the family homestead near Cluny, Alberta, the only child of Irene and Hubert Tabor. In 1939 she attended Calgary Normal School and obtained her teaching certificate. Hyslip, Megan Anne, of Vulcan, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, at Foothills Hospital in Calgary on December 11, 2014 at the age of 26 years.
Megan was born in Vulcan to Noel and Deb Hyslip on December 7, 1988. She attended Hazel Cameron Elementary and County Central High School, graduating Grade 12 in 2007. Megan moved to Lethbridge and became a nail technician where she loved to create and design different works of art for people. She still loved to come home and considered the “country” her way of life, often coming home to cook at harvest time.

MacDonald, James Kenneth, of Vulcan, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Vulcan Extendicare on December 6, 2014 at the age of 91 years.
Jim was born in Calgary, Alberta on June 9, 1923 to his parents Ken and Sara MacDonald. He was primarily raised and schooled with two sisters, Peggy and Norma, in the Turner Valley area where his father worked. During the depression years, they all moved to Vancouver where life was very hard. Jim got himself a bike and delivered newspapers and telegraphs which added to the family income.
