HAGA, Ivan 1919 – 2015

Haga, Ivan , of Vulcan, peacefully passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre October 18, 2015 at the age of 96 years.
Ivan was born on May 21, 1919 , third of nine children, to Albert and Rose Haga of Vulcan. He attended Derry School and after his schooling, worked at the O.K. Ranch at Crossfield for three years.
In 1940, Ivan met Eileen Clark and they were united in marriage on March 19, 1942 in Vulcan. Ivan served in the Royal Canadian Army from 1942 and received his discharge in 1945 and returned to the family farm four miles south
FODOR, Madeline 1923 – 2015

FODOR, Madeline, passed away peacefully at Vulcan Community Health Centre October 16, 2015 the age of 92 years.
Madeline Gal was born in Arad, Romania January 12, 1923 to George and Magdalena Gal who emigrated to Canada in 1924. Initially arriving in Montreal, the young family moved further west to smaller communities in southern Ontario, finally settling in Rodney on a small farm . Madeline was the eldest of six children. She moved to Windsor, ON as a young woman and worked in domestic duties and then in a dry cleaners business.

Irwin, Isabell Emily of Whitecourt, formerly of Champion, passed away peacefully in Whitecourt, AB on October 14, 2015 at the age of 79 years.
Isabell is survived by four daughters: Sandra (Del) Erickson of Columbia, South Carolina, Roxy Binns of Thompson, MB, Debbie (Robert C.) Martin of Wheatley, ON and Diane (Robert) Proper of Vanastra,ON, four sons: Robert Irwin of Cambridge, ON, Jeffrey (Melissa) Irwin of Whitecourt, AB, Robert (Patty) Wright of Port Hardy, BC and Allan (Trudy) Wright of London, ON, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins. HAMILTON, William “Bill” 1924 – 2015

William Hamilton June 10, 1924 – October 10, 2015 passed away peacefully in his 91 year at his residence in Carmangay, Alberta. Bill was the youngest of seven boys. He enlisted in the Canadian Army following the footsteps of his father. Bill served during World War II.
William Hamilton met the love of his life, Janice Ronalda Macdonald and in 1955 they were married in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Bill was a long distant trucker and had many interesting stories of his journey in life. He was a lifelong trucker and spoke of the roouted he travelled along the Alaska Highway, across Canada

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter and sister, Karen Lynn Currie, of Vulcan, AB, on September 28, 2015.
Karen was born in Calgary, AB. She was the chosen daughter of Victor and Helen Currie, from the age of 11 days. Karen lived and was educated in Calgary where she earned a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Psychology and a law degree from the University of Alberta Law School in 1995. Karen was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2010.

FARROW, Robert Kenneth 1968 – 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Kenneth Farrow on September 28, 2015.
Robert was born in Cambridge Ont. March 11, 1968 and moved to Vulcan, Alberta in 2007 with his partner Karen Currie where he had a passion for camping in the wilderness of the mountains. Robert was owner of Rockpile Enterprises, doing building maintenance and repairs, and working in the technical field of computers and the internet. He was currently building a recording studio in Vulcan.
Robert leaves behind his parents Joanne and Ken and a brother Steven, all of Ontario.

Cody Merlin Nelson, beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandpa and friend, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on September 10 at the age of 53 after suffering a severe stroke.
Cody was born in Vulcan, Alberta and resided in Champion, Alberta for his entire life. He worked as a truck driver and had a passion for automobiles and motorcycles. He enjoyed watching numerous sporting events including hockey and baseball and took pride in watching his children perform their various activities.
