Fulton, Victor “Vic” Alvin, of Vulcan, beloved husband of Gladys, passed away peacefully with his family at his side, at the Vulcan Extendicare on September 4, 2016 at the age of 90 years.
Vic was born in Vulcan on May 24, 1926, the eldest son of Alvin and Lorraina Fulton. He took all of his schooling at the Old Red Cross School and Vulcan. After school, he worked for many local farmers in order to save enough money for his first car, but always making sure the work was done at home first!

Henderson, William Gillmore “Bill”, of Lethbridge, formerly of Lomond, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge on September 1, 2016 at the age of 88 years.
Bill is survived by his sister Joan Lebsack and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Sam and Dolina Henderson, sisters Mary, Catherine and Agnes, and brothers Donald, Stewart and John.
Graveside Service and interment will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 10:30 am at the Lomond Cemetery, Rev. Gordon Cranch officiating. Luncheon to follow at the Sunshine Drop-in Center.

Reath, Jean (Nee: Tindall), of Lethbridge, formerly of Vulcan, and beloved wife of Jim, slipped peacefully away and entered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge on August 28th, 2016 at the age of 91 years.
Jean was born May 7, 1925, third oldest child of eight, to Harold and Ula Tindall, on the family farm east of Champion. Jean attended Yale and Harmony High School.
On Oct. 19, 1943, she married Dorn Ruggles and together they raised 5 children, Kenneth, Harold, Jerry, Keith and Karen. Dorn passed away on December 13, 1975

Seabrook, Melvin Hayward, of Vulcan, beloved husband of Karen, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre June 27, 2016 at the age of 71 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2 pm at Lake McGregor Estates Clubhouse, (on Highway 534  – 48 KM East of Vulcan).

Schneider, Esther, of Vulcan, peacefully passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre June 18, 2016 at the age of 93 years.
Esther was born on September 18, 1922 to George and Maria Schneider of McCook, Nebraska. She was the only girl in the family and had eight brothers who thought the world of her. Esther took her schooling in McCook and graduated in 1938 at the age of sixteen.
After school, Esther’s family moved briefly to Washington, then to Portland, Oregon where she took a job as a bookkeeper for a furniture store. Esther met Alex at a church conference in

den Tuinder, Sally Ann, of Vulcan, beloved wife of Jake, passed away suddenly at home on June 5, 2016 at the age of 64 years.
Besides her husband Jake, Sally is survived by her mother – Doris Schlaphoff, her three children – Braden Sproule, Rachel (Jaben) Sproule and Sandi (Daryl) Richard, two grandchildren – Bonnie & Ellis, her siblings – Sue (Jim) Marquand, Fred (Inga) Schlaphoff, Linda (Len) Gedak, Jeanie (Ken)  Warkentin and Bill Schlaphoff, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Erwin “Fritz” Schlaphoff.

UMSCHEID, Margaret Alma (nee: Garland) passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on June 5, 2016 at the age of 86 years.
Margaret was born in Regina, SK on April 18th, 1930, the only child of Ralph and Maggie (Andrews) Garland. When she was two years old, her parents moved to Flat Valley, SK where she lived for thirteen years, returning to Regina to finish high school. In 1951, she graduated as an R.N. from the Regina General Hospital School of Nursing. In 1953, Margaret moved to Calgary and worked at the Calgary General Hospital for four years. She

Ripley, Sybil Leona, currently of Vulcan and formerly of Strathmore, passed away at the Vulcan Extendicare on June 3, 2016 at the age of 81 years.

Morley, Eric Claude, of Vulcan, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre May 31, 2016 at the age of 87 years.
Eric was born September 5, 1928 in Georgeville, Ontario to George and Doris Morley. He took his schooling in Georgeville and Grade 7 in Morton, ON. In the early days, Eric worked at the Steel Factory making propane tank ends, then worked at a lumber camp near Napanee where he had his own team of horses. In 1947, Eric came west on a Harvest Excursion and in 1948 he came to Carmangay where he worked for Mrs. McFarland.
