Knive, Ruby Alberta, of Vulcan, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Extendicare on February 23, 2017 at the age of 98 years.
Ruby was born on September 9, 1918 on the family farm at Kirkcaldy, to Michael and Dorthea Sullivan. Andy and Ruby married in Vulcan in 1942 and in the same year, they rented the Stager farm in the Red Cross district where they lived for the next eight years. Anderson, Wayne, of Vulcan, beloved husband of Gerrie, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Vulcan Community Health Centre, on February 19, 2017 at the age of 78 years.
Wayne was born on October 25, 1938 in Lethbridge to Bill and Annie Anderson. He attended Barrhill and Turin School before moving to Champion in 1952, where he finished his schooling. Wayne farmed with his dad and on August 15, 1963, he married Gerrie Blackford and they settled in the Champion/Vulcan area. Fisher, Margaret Kathleen of Nanton, peacefully passed away at the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre in Claresholm on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the age of 97 years.
Margaret spent many years with Keith on the farm in the Vulcan area. She enjoyed traveling to Mexico and Hawaii as well as spending time at their home on the Kootenay Lake. She will be sadly missed by many.

Kehr, Edgar Maxwell “Max” , of Vulcan, beloved husband of Betty, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on January 25, 2017 at the age of 84 years.
Max was born in Vulcan on September 25, 1932 to Edgar and Jessie Kehr. Max took his schooling at Highland, Red Cross and Vulcan schools. In 1949-50, he attended Mount Royal College where he took Grade 11. He was also active in amateur wrestling and basketball as well as hockey and baseball. Max started playing hockey at the age of eleven which carried on well into his forties.

Nicholls, Ronald Charles “Chuck”, of Vulcan, passed away at the South Calgary Health Campus on January 24, 2014 at the age of 62 years.
Chuck is survived by his siblings – Darlene Nicholls of Champion and Mary (Rocky) Hendrickson of Champion, Dee Beaulac of Calgary and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ron and Joyce Nicholls.
Chuck was born in Calgary, moved to Ontario in his early 20s but moved back to Alberta. He moved with his parents to Vulcan in the early 2000s to help them in their senior years.

Williams, Irene, formerly of Arrowwood, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Extendicare on January 23, 2017 at the age of 99 years.
Irene is survived by her children – Fern (Richard) Vachon of Vulcan, Gale (Gerry) Hammett of Vulcan, Faith (Alvin) Vaage of Champion and Jim (Twi) Williams of Okotoks, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents James and Rose Page, husband Leonard Williams and seven siblings.
