GILLETTE, Robert Lorne, of Vulcan, beloved husband of Kathy, passed away peacefully with family at his side, after a lengthy battle at home, at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on October 8, 2018 at the age of 60 years.

Mandel, Martin “Mart”, beloved husband of Sarah (Wipf), passed away peacefully with his family at his side, at home on October 3, 2018 at the age of 71 years.
Mart is survived by his wife Sarah (Wipf), daughter Teresa (Ben) Gross, sons Ken (Esther) Mandel and Peter (Rosa) Mandel, all of Mialta Colony, 14 grandchildren, four brothers – Ben, Tom, Paul and John, two sisters – Linda and Lydia and all their families, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mart was predeceased by his parents John and Rebecca Mandel.

Earl was born March 21, 1935 in Pincher Creek, AB to Ray and Hazel Gregory. He attended school at Waldren (north of Brocket) and also farmed with his father. Earl worked for the Town of Pincher Creek in 1965 before moving to Vulcan in 1971. He worked for Gulf in Vulcan for 6 years (and 5 company name changes!) before working for Ken Reid at UGG. Spaeth, Betty Jane, of Vulcan, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on September 5, 2018 at the age of 70 years.
Betty was born in Calgary on December 10, 1947 to Howard and Mae Spaeth. She attended school in Vulcan, then to Calgary in January of 1969, where she graduated from Jacobson’s Beauty School. In 1970, she worked at Fairmont, B.C., then returned to Vulcan to operate her own shop “Betty’s Beauty Shop” on Main Street, from 1973 to 1981. Betty continued to live in Vulcan until her passing.

Love, Robert “Frank”, beloved husband of Marjorie for 67 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at the Vulcan Community Health Center on August 29, 2018 at the age of 91 years.
Frank was born July 26th, 1927 to Clifford and Marie (Ruark) Love at home on the farm near Berrywater, where he lived for 91 years. With his older sister Marjorie, Frank attended school at Berrywater and Vulcan. He married Marjorie Evans of Rocky Mountain House in 1951. Together on the same farm, they raised their four children.

John was the only one in his family to immigrate to Canada which he did in late 1959. He was a retired Owner/Operator Truck Driver and was fortunate enough to drive all across Canada and the USA.
